Came for a meal and had the steak, which was absolutely delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was also amazing. The service was fantastic and it had an uplifting atmosphere. The place itself is beautiful, especially the outdoor seating area which leads up to the canal.

This is a beautiful little place. Great food, lovely staff and set in a lovely space backing on to the canal. Never had a bad meal or experience here - but it is our local!
Breakfast special Monday Thursday 9 till 11:30 £10 with a drink, absolutely fantastic, this is the second time we've been this week, every part this quality especially the black pudding bom boms, even the toast at £2 is worth it, and if you want an extra black pudding it's £1.50.
Waited quite a while for our food but I enjoyed my ceasar salad. One of our party not happy with their food but think made poor choice rather than anything wrong with it. Drinks served nice and cool. No one came to ask if we required a sweet menu
Great food and drinks at a good price. Brilliant beer garden with plenty of umbrellas for shade with access to and from the canal. Water bowls and water provided for dogs. Very impressed with my first visit in over 25 years and will be back!
Had a couple of take aways over the last couple of weeks. Cannot complain about the freshness, tastiness or how they are boxed. We have been twice now to the royal and it has not disappointed.
The first time I had a passionfruit chicken dish that I was a bit apprehensive about but it was amazing. The chicken cooked perfectly and the crispy potatoes that come with it were so crisp, not greasy and nicely seasoned.

We had dinner in the beer garden, which is located next to the canal. The food was lovely. Dog friendly too. The interior of the restaurant was lovely. Plenty of parking too.
Passed by, decided to stop for lunch, car park opposite. Very pleasant inside, polite helpful staff, very prompt service. We had the Sunday roast £20 each, very nice, thank you
