We were amazed at this pub. Stroke of luck we got in for a Sunday dinner booking late but what a treat. Great food, extremely warm welcome and their own ale brewed on site was delicious. This isn’t a cheap option for food as it’s in the higher priced spectrum but in my view worth the money. Wou
We had a wonderful two night stay here midweek. Food was first class. The service was outstanding. All the staff were extremely helpful - we enjoyed the three mile walk explained in the leaflet, which could be found in the bar or in the rooms. Would recommend this country pub without reservation.
Simply amazing! 👏👏👏 Had a meal which was faultless and the best meal I've had in a long, long time. The service was brilliant and they even did a lovely little birthday desert to top it all off - particular mention to our waitress who shared a birthday...you made it such a lovely evening. The locati
This was such a lovely experience! We came for an early evening meal on a bank holiday weekend. The front of house lady (Ramana? Sorry if that’s not correct) was absolutely lovely and all staff were well trained and attentive. The food was exceptional, and having eaten from the A La Carte menu this
Went for a Sunday roast. Stunning location, a very charming village. The decor is a bit confused throughout, alternating from rustic and cosy to minimalist, cold wine-bar ascetic. Has its own in-house brewery, seemingly only serving here which is cool. Sunday roast fairly meh, barely roasted potato
This could have been the best Sunday lunch I've eaten out. Meat was cooked to perfection and plenty of it, amazing veg, toasties and Yorkshire pud. Staff we're super friendly and helpful.
This was our second visit, we went to a seafood tasting menu. The food was incredible, I would highly recommend it. Every course was a taste sensation. Service is excellent and its dog friendly. It was so good we have booked again for their next tasting evening.
Had a ride to Bolton by bowland called in for a cheeky drink. Beautiful. Sat in the garden. What a lovely place. Will go again mid week and try there mid week 3 course menu.
Beautiful location, very friendly and welcoming staff and the food was exceptionally good. We had a fantastic stay (the dog had the time of his life, getting a bowl of sausage at breakfast!) and I’d highly recommend it.
We've returned here quite a few times now so it must be agreeable! Good food & service. Food approaching Cordon Bleu but fortunately not too close.
Great country pub brewing good ale on site . Really welcoming staff .Beautiful bedrooms, well appointed, finished to a high standard and extremely comfortable beds. Cosy bar with real fire. Excellent menu with delicious food - we ate a la crate one evening and had the taster menu with wine flight an
The Coach and Horses is a fantastic country pub with rooms, with a team of staff that match up to the beautiful characterful building. James the manager ensured our stay was perfect, and he has a team that continually go above and beyond. The room we stayed in was called ‘Henry’, and it genuinely
The most perfect stay for our wedding anniversary. Everything about this place is just simply beautiful. We stayed in the Rose room and wow it was stunning with a beautiful bathtub and shower. The bed was super comfy and big. When we went down for dinner we were greeted by James the manager with a g
Super pub in a delightful village. Great food and a lovely paved area to the rear by the stream. Excellent
Popped in for coffee with my wife and very wet dog Bentley after a walk in the rain , the lady who served us was extremely polite and even got a blanket for Bentley to lie on while we were there!! Looking forward to returning soon!! Highly recommended!!
Had a splendid evening meal. Lamb rump and puddings were especially good. Subsequently had a wonderful Sunday lunch. As good as ever. Very kind to Ted, our dog.
Top notch pub with a top notch restaurant. Quiet for a Saturday lunchtime - but that suited us. The a la carte starters were delicious - especially the Lancashire cheese soufflé. Charred lamb’s liver and cod for mains followed by white chocolate cheesecake. Red wine served at the perfect temperature
Good size car park, very friendly staff and great food.the pub is great now that it has been refurbished. Lovely village
