Great location with a fabulous view. Plenty of seating indoors and outside. Wonderful brownies and the butterscotch ice-cream is to die for.

Wonderful family run business in the heart of rural Yorkshire. Just the setting alone is worth the visit! (See photos) We went for brunch a few weeks ago. I had the eggs royale, which were the best I have tasted. I am not a coffee drinker, but my companions were highly complimentary of the barista’s coffees. Lovely friendly service and a warm welcome. The shop is beautifully designed and well stocked and I challenge you not to be tempted by their amazing brownies!!!

Had afternoon tea here on Wednesday. Absolutely lovely, great sandwiches, scones, cream , jam, strawberries and beautiful small cakes, even had soup to start. I've had a lot of afternoon teas and this was up with the best. Shame it was too cool to sit out as the view is beautiful. Will be back.

We had a lovely walk up to the river from Bolton Abbey. My wife told she has kind of surprise and that's how we arrived at Brownie Barn. It was Saturday but not busy at all, staff members are very kind. We can recommend tasty sandwiches and obviously brownies. Raspberry, cherry and coconut are my favourite now but there is more to pick. Coffee, milkshake or smoothie for your rest time with amazing views.

We stayed at Howgill Barn (also owned by the same people as The Brownie Barn) and visited over the course of the weekend for pizzas, coffees and breakfasts. The owner was extremely welcoming, the service was excellent and the food delicious. Would highly recommend!!

Don't think of this place as a brownie shop. Whilst their brownies are a cut above anything I've ever found, they have an excellent menu with a an extensive selection of coffees, beers & wines. I'm looking forward to trying the home made, wood fired pizza. The staff were really friendly and gave great advice on local walks/attractions.

After getting completely soaked hiking to Simons seat we found this place on our walk back. Everywhere was beautifully clean (until we me came and messed it up, sorry about that). The brownies were incredible and the mocha was 👌. Customer service was incredible, nothing was too much bother and we even ended up being given a lift down the road to save some time off our long walk back. Cannot recommend enough
