Great place for a coffee and cake but really serve no hot meals just prepacked sandwiches. Very disappointing menu. Only tray service
I nice place to stop after a long walk. Didn’t have food here but there was a selection of snack food such as sandwiches or pies. Coffee was really good, next to a river with beautiful views, climbing frame for children and next to a gift shop
Great place for a brew and cake after a good long walk. Staff helpful and friendly. Tables cleared and cleaned promptly. Lovely views of the river and countryside when dining outside. Toilets well maintained and clean. Restrictions for shop so it doesn't get to crowded. Lovely postcards available, c
We got there about 2.45 & the selection of cake was a little limited...scones were completely sold out. The cake we had was really nice though. Good selection of hot & cold drink. We sat out outside & it was really nice...lovely pit stop before the walk back to the car.
Love the tranquillity of this place. Bought a season pass for £90. Seems steep for the year as it was £70 last year. But, all things considered... it is £10 to park per visit so we will certainly make use of it. Bonfire night entrance is not included in the price which I find disappointing. This is
Nice little cafe with both interior and exterior seating. Little pricey, but that's to be expected. We only bought refreshments, but they seem to so sandwiches and hot food too. There's a car park just a few metres away with disabled access and the lovely walk in to Strid wood is just adjacent to th
After a walk around the grounds, this is a nice spot for a sandwich and a hot drink. Plenty seating indoor or out and toilets are near by. Just a good spot to sit and crowd watch
Beautiful place, great for walks. Very tranquil along the riverside. Places for BBQs, picnics and a run around with a football. Lots of cycle paths, Plenty of car parking but it can get busy, on sunny bank holidays for instance! Didn't get to see everything so a second visit is definitely on the ca
I visited this lovely cafe in July 2019 and it was so awesome having a cup of english tea by the river. The surrounding is very attractive and clean to have a picnic or walk. The kids loved it as well.
Food was good, mostly sandwiches, sausage rolls cakes etc. But all nice and fresh and plenty of seating inside and out.
Great place for BBQ on a hot day. £10 entrance fee with a car. Gets very busy on hot days to find a good place. Hot ash skips are available for disposal of hot coals.
We enjoyed a snack after a long walk around the Abbey grounds. Just lovely
Set in a picturesque spot it's the perfect place to chill. Food a bit pricey, and ok at best. As a rest spot for toilets and a cold drink it's perfect on a sunny day.
