...you’ll end-up chatting warming with other guests, because everyone is so at ease. The combination of the lovely environment, the superb service and the faultless food make it hard not to enjoy yourself. This restaurant is a true *1 star benchmark.
Fabulous lunch with my mum for a special birthday. We were very well looked after from the minute we stepped in the door. Fabulous food and lots of fish choices for Good Friday. Best meal I’ve had locally in a long time
Enjoyed a Sunday Lunch at The Brasserie at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa recently, after a picturesque walk at Bolton Abbey. We ate as a party of ten, with six adults and four children, all under ten, as well as two dogs. The food was extremely good, decent menu, plenty of choice for old and young. One of our party was Vegetarian and to be super-critical, there could have been an additional option to accommodate vegetarians. The service throughout was friendly and proficient and there was a warm glow from the internal, wood burning stove. I enjoyed the Duck, others had Sunday Roasts, alongside a burger, chicken and fish and chips. Given the location, it is nice that ‘well behaved’ dogs are welcome in the bar area of The Brasserie. We made the venue aware at the time of booking that we would have two dogs, and I believe that two dogs per table is the maximum - you do need to let them know, at the time you make your reservation. We will certainly be back and would recommend The Brasserie at The Devonshire.
A little on the pricey side but very nice. Stopped in for lunch after a long walk. Dogs are welcome, they even have a room decorated accordingly. Service was good. Fabulous deserts.
Once again a fantastic stay at the hotel room really good bed cosy. The food in the restaurant was excellent again. We also made use of spa facilities and had a relaxing hour there. Plenty of lovely walks to go on around the hotel and of course Bolton Abbey
The food was really good, although they got the orders wrong on 3 occasions eg asked for sauvignon got pinot, flat white got latte etc
Probably as we were one of the last to dine and it was new years day. The waiting staff were pleasant and attentive. I did not particularly like the decor, 1st time here and I thought it would be more traditional but definitely wasn't. The lights were far too bright and the flashing lights on the christmas tree were off putting. The good thing was we could take the dogs as its dog friendly.
We called in for a drink after a long walk around Bolton abbey, the staff were very welcoming with table service, the drinks were reasonably priced at £6.75 for a pint and a half of larger and lime .the outside is very large with plenty of seating with heaters also dogs are very welcome, there are also two helipads For those lucky enough to arrive by helicopter and a large carpark for the rest of us .
Amazing night in the artist room and had access to the spa all evening. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with great service then this is for you. Already talked about booking again before we went to bed.
Always a favourite when we are up in the Dales. Great food and ales and looks over a lovely view of Bolton Abbey estate.
My bf and I visited Bolton Abbey after a storm, making the trip around the area much, much longer when part of the paths were under the river. We had to climb through the muddy forest in the rain and when we finally found our way out it was pitch dark and no running buses and no Ubers would accept the drive from there to ilkley.
We happened upon the Devonshire arms brasserie and thank God we did! The manager was an absolute life saver. He helped to call us a taxi and got us a table near the fire to warm up. The atmosphere inside was great and I'm really sorry we didn't manage to stay for dinner at a later day cause the restaurant smelled amazing.
Pleasant venue in beautiful surroundings. Very, very good service. They really do go the extra mile. Food was very good and wholesome but not quite on a par with Brasserie Blanc, so we felt it was a little overpriced in comparison. Overall a lovely meal though.
The most incredible views! We stopped by for a refreshing drink after a day exploring the Bolton Abbey estate. Really glad we visited and we'll definitely be back in the future to try the food - the menu looked great.
Wife went many years ago and remembered it was very very good. So we went back with high expectations AND WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. IT WAS GREAT. NOT CHEAP BUT VALUE FOR MONEY AND IN GREAT GROUNDS AND VERY DOG FRIENDLY!! Will go back for treat.
We were just passing and decided to call in for a drink on Sunday lunchtime. Such a beautiful outdoor, sunny area to enjoy a drink with stunning views across their gardens to the River. The Staff were so friendly and welcomed our dog too.
We stayed 2 nights on the spring break deal well worth it. Had my birthday here excellent rooms and afternoon tea.
We have had 2 x Sunday lunches and Christmas Day lunch all 3 were superb.
I always love visiting Bolton Abbey, and having lunch at the Devonshire.
