So so impressed with the food here! Lovely, very typical English feel to the pub and the food was exceptional. 2 kids had pizza -delicious. I had the Sunday roast £9.50 for the tastiest biggest roast I’ve had and a pudding which was also delicious! Thank you!
Came to the Cavendish today for Sunday lunch. I had the Pork (which is in the picture) and the other 2 of my party had Chicken. Can't even begin to put into words how good the food was. Very high quality, large portions at low cost and fresh. The atmosphere was great, which was enhanced by the staff. Thank you to Donna, Kira and Lilly for the fantastic food and good humour. The pub was clean and had good decor. Especially liked that you could see the pizza oven area which gives guests the opportunity to see their food being made which is always a bonus. Can't wait until I'm back in Chesterfield to come again.
Absolutely love this place! After getting a puppy we struggled to find somewhere to go for breakfast where she could go! Les definitely made us feel very welcome and so did his dogs😍 Darla loves Dolly and is very settled when we visit..... Even Bella that isn't a fan of puppies has started coming to say hello to us. Love the cocktails and the atmosphere is so relaxed even the regulars make you feel welcome. The food is lovely and home cooked to order. And during January the small breakfast of 1 egg, 1bacon, 1sausage, 1 hash brown, baked beans and toast for £4 is a bargain!!!

Best pub ever, meet amazing characters every time, fantastic staff, love Les the manager. The best home made pizzas and food. Best pub in Bolsover, welcomes our two annoying cockapoos. Can't fault anything.

We have lived in Bolsover for a couple of years now and finally managed to pop in for a couple of pints. Guinness was superb. Bar staff really friendly and chatty. Will be back soon

We travelled from London to Bolsover for a wedding and found this excellent place to eat and drink.
I strongly recommend the pizzas.
Cooked in front of you and the service is fantastic.
Like the staff here, the prices are very attractive.

Welcomed with a smile as soon as I walked in.
Ordered a pizza off the dedicated pizza menu and it’s was AMAZING. The mega meaty I think it was called. I asked about it and girl said the landlord makes his own doe to his own recipe and it showed. Topped with LOTS of toppings. Just awesome.
I’ll be back to try the main menu soon. Lovely pub with a comfortable friendly atmosphere and lovely staff.
Oh, had a pint of Morretti and they clearly keep their lines clean regularly too. It was a fresh tasting pint. Just what I needed in this hot weather.
It’s right on the high street opposite the bus stop so you can’t miss it. Well worth a visit.
Oh footnote. I’ve picked parking below. Although they don’t have a carpark they are RIGHT next door to Morrisons with no parking time restrictions. So happy days.
Great value and service. We had the all day breakfast and Fish and Chips - both excellently cooked to order. Very friendly staff - shame we aren't local and so can't easily return

Each breakfast is cooked to order.
I would highly recommend to all to try it once you've had it. You will be back for more.
They also do a great Sunday lunch.

Les and Tammy have done such a wonderful job at creating a wonderful, clean and happy place. Wonderful atmosphere and made to feel very welcome by staff, great service from both Lilly and Kira and an excellent meal cooked and presented excellently by Emily and Donna. Great team and will 100% be returning.

Very professional environment. Very local feel to it. Exceptional food. Great communication with the staff. Rebekah and Kira were great with our kids and kept them entertained. Also they were great at making our experience comfortable and enjoyable. Will be visiting again for the Sunday roast I've heard so much about!
