Great pub with young, friendly staff. Bollington Brewery make good beer and the pub grub is tasty with generous portions. Excellent beer garden too.
Possibly some of the best fish and chips that I’ve ever had. Consistently decent home made pub grub with excellent cask ales and cider.
Friendly accommodating staff and a very well used by local family’s which is always a good sign.
Keep up the good work!!
This is the best pub meal and service I’ve experienced in a long time! It’s rare these days when you turn up wanting 24 meals of which 14 were for children - and everything was perfect! Amazing value for money for the best Sunday roast, homemade pies and fine brewed ale! Outstanding!
The best pub in Bollington, amazing food complimented by beer they brew themselves... to top it off they have a great friendly landlord and fab staff! If you haven't been you're missing out!
Looking for a Pub meal, we took 'pot luck' and were very happy with our meals. Fish and chips and local pie and mash arrived quickly and were delicious. Friendly staff in a small village pub!
Great food, best beer (home brewery) and very nice, friendly and welcoming staff. One of Bollington‘s highlights. Try their Long Hop ale!
One of the nicest pub meals I've had, friendly staff very welcoming if you are ever passing this is the place to eat and drink
An incredibly friendly and welcoming pub, with a fantastic selection of food and drink. As visitors to the region we were very impressed with The Vale Inn's hospitality and excellent home cooked food and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Simply amazing pub. Beer, food and staff are so much better than the rest. The Vale has it all.

Great pub. Loved the atmosphere. Noisy as was post cricket but food was excellent. Really extensive menu and cheerful friendly staff. Be going back. 👍
Would highly recommend this place! Warm welcome, fast service & amazing food! ( big portions aswell! 👍 Super range of local ales! Will be returning soon.
We visited here on Friday 3rd march 2017 - The place is very clean, and has a good set up, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. We ordered food and it's was very nice and had a homemade greatness about it. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.
Lovely warm friendly pub . Nice glass of Shiraz. Husband and friends loved the real ale. Gorgeous fire. Would have loved to eat but we had a meal booked elsewhere. Menu was good and food that we saw looked yummy. Will definately visit again .
Love this pub. Lovely warm welcome. Fantastic service. Excellent food. Would highly recommend
Great little pub
Lovely food
Good beers
Nice friendly staff
Great stop off for a pint after a walk in the area.
Fantastic food and great choice the portion sizes are huge definitely 5 stars well done
Always lovely food and great service. Would have been 4 stars for no baby change but staff made me my very own table for me upstairs to change the little one. 10/10 for customer service.
We came here for some ale and dinner and were not disappointed. The pie was delicious and the ale was good. We would have liked some cheddar in the mac and cheese and some salt and pepper, that‘s the 1 missing star. Service is receiving 4 stars because we waited quite long for our food, it took about 45 minutes but the staff was very kind and attentive.
The dog friendliness is a huge plus!
Cracking little pub, nestled in the small town of Bollington, just yards away from the Brewery that supplies most of its Ales. (Bollington Brewery). The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the food is superb (we ate from daily menu on the Saturday evening, and Sunday Roasts the following day). Every dish was excellent, but the real winner for me is the Bacon Cheese Sauce on the loaded fries and the hot dog. Outstanding!! Keep doing what you're doing The Vale! We look forward to coming back to see you soon!
Pub run by Bollington Brewery, with eight cask and eight keg beers and ciders to choose from, including craft beers and their own beers brewed across the road. Plenty of tables, good pub food menu and outside space (around the back) make for a pleasant destination. Super dog-friendly too!
Beer is brewed over the road. Great pie and chips, and sticky toffee pud! Visited as part of the Bollington Brewery Tour. Fabulous!
A fab little pub in the centre of the village. There's plenty of parking out the back, with a large seating area overlooking the cricket club. You have to walk a few yards down the main street to get to the pub, but it's no real hassle. If you're lucky, like we were, there may be a cricket match on. The staff were fantastic - so friendly and nothing too much trouble. A real credit to the place. We ordered a pie and (from the specials) a lasagne. Both were excellent. I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars rather than just 4. We will definitely return.
What a lovely pub, service was spot on, very polite and friendly staff, great range of drinks especially the local 'Bollington brewery' 👍,
I have to say very clean, the staff were straight on it when a table became empty cleaning them ready for the next customer 👍,
We will definitely be returning as we called in on our weekend away. Dog friendly..🙂
The food is very very nice, we had a sandwich with skin on fries, but I'll be back to definitely try the pies as they too looked amazing, great choice on the menu and a specials board..
On a hot day the beer garden is great as it overlooks the cricket ground as we sampled the beer the day before as the sun was shining ☀️😁 .
Would recommend you'll not be disappointed.
Keep up the great work 🍻 thanks..
Really lovely country style pub. Warming real fire. Dog friendly. Food - I had the Sunday roast with beef, which was very nice. Yorkshire puds and gravy were delicious, beef not the best quality but for the price it’s definitely not complaint worthy. Burger was good. Drinks - I started with the 3mini beers and thought they were a little flat so then had the Czech lager which i didn’t think much of, so stuck with the safer Heineken.
Lovely pub with friendly staff and typically a constant presence of customers so it always has an ambiance. The beer selection is excellent and makes this place we'll worth stopping by.
Food was lovely and the locally brewed beer was excellent. Friendly staff and great atmosphere
I loved the chilli pear cider. Food ok if you like pub food. I eat lots of veg (I'm not a vegetarian) so struggled to find something to suit me. If they'd offered a Buddha bowl with the falafel or there was a salad option I'd have had that.
