Lovely friendly atmosphere, loved the fact that the staff double check how you would like your food , the food was fresh and tasted amazing, hi five to the chef as it was 26 degrees outside.

Lovely welcome from when we entered, food order taken and drinks served to us. We went for the Full English and were not disappointed. It came out hot, perfectly cooked and was of good quality ingredients. Fee looked after us so well and made sure we had everything we needed.. Will continue to be a return customer. Great staff, great food and great prices.

Food was brilliant this afternoon! Whoever the chef team were at 4-5pm did an amazing job of cooking fresh, hot and perfectly cooked food for kids and adults. The team that served us in the garden were also Brill. it's just the lack of funding that hungry horse are providing to upkeep the toilets and general lack of tlc inside and out. Hungry horse spend some money and give the team here a pub that suits their skills!

Always lovely food! Cheap and cheerful! Only downside is the screaming children that tend to be there! There used to be a family area round the back but seems that anyone can sit anywhere now. Wouldn’t stop us visiting regularly, just a small thing.

Wasn’t have quick respond via their Facebook messenger but then staff realised and start to reply very quick and make a reservation for us. We were there for the first time and welcome two friends from Asia. They are also impressed for the food quality and the weekday menus that worth every single penny! Highly recommended to make reservation in the weekend coz we always see it’s full during holiday.

We didn't know them but we even joined in singing 'Happy Birthday to you' to the next tables 3yr old.. How bloody awesome is that eh.. That made The Martlets for us and 1 of us is Bognor, one of us is posh!.. You must book by online or phone but what's the problem with that. Not many will be 'walking' past The Martlets to generate that kind of business so bring your electric car and charge it here,, it has the facilities if need and parking is not a problem for any car.. The food is so well priced for pub grub we simply keep coming back. The quality is also that good, we keep coming back.. Remember pub grub?.. Hard to find in Bognor unless it comes with a speaker playing accordion dance anthems over your head to attract wasps or something so we don't go no more. It might be an age thing as I raved in the 90s till my marriage broke so prefer food in under a day and a place for Grandad and charlie to go on the swings and the kids to watch SkySports till the golf comes on! Vive La Martlets... I recommend the salmon here due to my own lack of teeth after a fight in town with a drunk accordion player.. Oi Oi Savaloy!.. We love you staff and brand at The Martlets. Lord and Lady Muck.

Driving many years close by, but never really had a time to go there, only yesterday I thought if I take family there everyone would be impressed but honestly quite a disappointment by the place inside, need serious refurbishment, food average...I don't think about coming back anytime soon if nothing will change, !EDIT after few months! And yet! I have come back yesterday! Food fabulous! Sitting outside very nice due to weather. But honestly food was so good that I can dream about coming back as soon as possible. Impressive!
