The Courtyard Restaurant - Bodmin - Photo album

Found The Courtyard on Google for lunch as I was passing through on the way further south. A very yummy stop off - within the Bodmin Jail entrance but you don't have to have tickets to enter the restaurant. Food is delicious, I had the club sandwich and there was a mayo type sauce on it which made i
Great for a quick meal - it was empty on a weekday (between 1.30pm - 2.30pm) after our jail attraction tour. The halloumi fries were a generous portion, so were the chilli garlic prawns (a tad under seasoned and not spicey for our pallet- but pairs well with the salty halloumi). The pepperoni pizza
Very nice meal with friendly staff. We had 3 small plates (padron peppers and sea salt, ham croquettes and goats cheese and spinach croquettes) I personally wasn’t a fan of the goats cheese and spinach ones but that’s personal taste. My parents had the 2 course lunch menu. (Mushrooms on garlic bread
We had breakfast here daily due to having dogs with us we could not go to the other restaurant, staff were brilliant, food was fantastic, only down side is its used as an office (3 out of the 4 mornings we stayed) so we listened to two different job interviews going on at the same time - was interes
This was the first time we have gone to this restaurant and it will not be the last, We decided to go to the Courtyard Restaurant for a Birthday meal for my wife 9th March, we arrived just before lunch and was seated straight away, we was given enough time to decide what we wanted from the menu, and
Lovely restaurant, seems very swanky but really isn't, dogs are allowed in. Prices are very reasonable 3 courses for less than £30 food was very nice, the chef likes to cook. Service was a bit messy to begin with but our server did a good job to keep everyone happy. Would definitely recommend, the s
Had a lovely evening meal the service was brilliant, so friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault a thing!
Food was absolutely amazing, good service and lovely scenery. People can be really impatient which cause theyre bad reviews. Wait is good between food and dessert as it lets the food go down and settle for more room! Would definitely stay here again and even book a room. Stunning place
We got some takeaway food on Friday evening during Lockdown. The Manager was very helpful and generous and could not have been kinder. We ordered Pizza’s and Greek salad after a hospital trip. The Pizza was delicious , so big we had plenty of leftovers. The salad was enormous , plenty for two of u
Nice atmosphere and food good but service somewhat slow especially getting our order in. And if you are going to have a pasta dish for children please don’t use tagliatelle - whilst it was very amusing to watch our 7 year old grandson trying to eat it - what’s wrong with penne or something similar.
We ate lunch here on the opening day and had a tasty meal - we both chose the Buttermilk Chicken served in a brioche bun. The service was attentive and prompt and Covid-19 precautions were followed carefully. Even though the renovation of this building wasn't quite finished, it didn't detract from t
Best Nachos in the country! Cheese was melted over several layers of Nachos, Jalapeños a plenty, salsa wasn’t too mild and just spicy enough to be a proper salsa, sour cream was light and fluffy and the guacamole was smooth and tasty. All together it was a closed eyes moment!
So proud and honoured to be the first customers of the new Bodmin Jail restaurant The Jolly Hangman. The breakfast brioche was delicious and cappuccino to die for. All the staff were wonderful, very friendly. We would like to wish you all, all the luck in the world with restaurant and your plans for
Lovely restaurant for afternoon tea. Shame there was not a vegan cake on offer it would have scored five starts. Lovely toilets too.
