Had a meal there on Saturday with the wife, just passing through after doing the camel trail in padstow, A hidden little gem with excellent food in a lovely setting with lots of local fish on the menu, if your ever in north cornwell it's a must. Hope to be back in the summer to enjoy the beer garden. Pre book as it gets busy....
We stopped here for lunch on the way back from the Bodmin & Wenford steam railway; it felt a bit like a magical mystery tour however the sat nav led us to a beautiful pub in a stunning location. Excellent food & service. I had the mussels, my husband had the fish goujons, my father the (enormous!) pork chop, my daughter ham, egg & chips and my son the steak & chips. Everyone was delighted which I think may be a first!! Highly recommend.

I really loved the cauliflower and aubergine curry yesterday complete with lentil dahl, flatbread and rice. I'm just so grateful to be able to order a curry that doesn't contain coconut or coconut milk. The taste was delicious.
We are rarely disappointed by the food here. I also appreciate the fact that we can order an alternative to chips when they are on the menu with a dish. I can als recommend the toad in the hole.
Sunday lunches are good though, not surprisingly it does get busy at the weekend.
We came for a wedding and found this beautiful pub amazing food great service we visited this pub everyday as we fell in love with it well worth the visit
What a gem !!! Absolutely amazing !!!
The food was fantastic !!! I had fish and chips and my partner had Thai curry , we could not decide which one was best !
The fish was so fresh you could taste the saltiness of the sea ! It was so good that we had to have dessert , of course the dessert was delicious !
I would give this place 10 stars if I could !
Great food and menu selection and made a family occasion extra special and an evening to remember - staff were really nice too - would definitely go back there again
Brilliant country pub with friendly staff, great food and a gorgeous beer garden!
A gem in the middle of no where....fantastic food...beautiful garden...lovely Harry pub dog..highly recommend & will be returning for a visit with my sister & brother-in-law early September when they visit from Australia :)
Great pub in an amazing setting. Good food with friendly staff. Highly recommend.
OMG just had the best slow braised beef rib ever! Fantastic pub and fantastic staff. Having seen a number of dishes come out, I was impressed by everything I saw. It was so good we are returning tomorrow. Thank you.
Second time we have been here in a year on our way to Port Isaac. This pub is a gem out in the middle of nowhere! Friendly staff, excellent food and a great outside seating area in the sun. We will be going again!!
Lovely pub , great atmosphere, fantastic food . Don't miss going to this pub it's a must :-)
Beautiful location and amazing food. Great service all round. I would highly recommend a meal at The Kew Inn.
Had a great meal tonight at the St Kew. Inn. Food was excellent, staff were great and the setting is amazing. Highly recommended.
Had dinner here and had high expectations due to reviews, people we know having been here recently and Andrew’s culinary experience.
The food was good, but, a little disappointing - perhaps our expectations were too high. The crab rarebit starter was delicious and probably the highlight. The “from the fire cooked over wood etc” section made me think the hake we ordered would be cooked over flame and either have some nice charred skin, or, some flavour imparted from the smoke. Unfortunately I had neither and it just seemed to be pan cooked. It was tasty, though, and well cooked but the capers meant to be in the dish were left out. The staff weren’t sure if they were missing or not when I checked, showing a lack of knowledge on the details of menu. The beef was served pink or well done (no in between option). Assured that the pink serving meant no blood, we went for it but regretted not asking for it well done in the end as it was too rare and chewy for our liking. Broccoli side was just steamed which was to be honest a bit boring considering the food standards. Smoked cream ice cream for dessert was nice and something different. Service was slow and passive, but not unfriendly.
Found it difficult to get a table for 2 about 10 days before but unsure of why as it seemed relatively quiet during our time here. Possibly staggered table availability to manage staffing and end of season. Not sure but you’ll need to book ahead.
Fair value for money. would return but not in a rush but I expect most would enjoy.
Stopped in just after lunch service had wrapped and the team was flexible and put together some of their easier-to-prep meals for us. Fish and chips + a burger. Both were outstanding and the service was beyond top notch. SO happy we ventured down the lane to find the St. Kew Inn. Only regret is not visiting on a warm summer night when we could have sat out back in their lovely garden.
Lovely old pub and beautiful setting. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
Lunch service only from 12.
Try the St Kew Ale, very creamy and smooth.
A lovely village pub. Lovely staff in a beautiful location. We just had a drink passing by and had a lovely reception. Realy nice staff. Lovely flowers and garden. I really look forward to returning.
My partner and I recently visited for an evening meal whilst on holiday and I can honestly say we both had the best meal we have ever had in a pub. The food was divine and cooked to perfection, you get everything you pay for. The desserts were delicious too!
The staff and service was excellent, warm and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Honestly cannot recommend this place enough, and they are dog friendly which is lovely. A proper country, traditional pub. I’d like to thank you for a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!
Wonderful experience on a warm Autumn afternoon, simply very special. Really nice tree shady gardens make for a nice environment for an afternoon or early evening drink. Service friendly and helpful, we loved it.
A great pub with friendly, helpful staff.
And the food! We kept coming back for more, trying everything on the menu over the course of a week.
Everthing was so flavoursome, whether it's meat, fish or vegetable you won't be disappointed. A big thank you for a job well done to the team at the St Kew Inn.
Popped here for a drink and had to come back for the food.
Need to book.
Short ribs were absolutely spectacular, melt in your mouth cooked on wood fire.
