Great place to stay. Exactly what was needed after a wedding in the area. Sam the housekeeper was exceptional. So friendly and kindly offered to drop us to our car the next morning. She made the stay!
Fantastic rooms and lovely pub grub. Was a fabulous stop over for the evening/ night. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Lovely old tradional pub (very few around these days) , amazing food, room (suite) was so spacious, Clean and had everything you require.

Vegetarian main meal choices are limited but loads of choice with the starters so we had 3 starters.
We didn't stay just went for lunch. New owners? Chef? What an improvement! Menu was simple and delicious, fabulous steaks, crispy fries and a great dressed salad. Surpassed my expectations! Friendly and lovely staff. Will be back!
Went for dinner with friends, they were really bust and I wasn't expecting much, but they did really well and the food was amazing, best mixed grill I've had in a very long time, all perfectly cooked.
I do recommend this place for anyone looking for good food and a wide selection of beer.
Popped in by chance for a quick drink, staff and locals were welcoming! Lovely garden area.

We visited friends in the village yesterday and six of us had the pleasure of eating outside at this lovely pub.

Would have been 5 stars, but not enough vegetarian and vegan meals - I was staying the night there with one Vegan and one vegetarian daughter. Plenty of meat on the menu for me!
Great food, friendly staff
Fantastic food and plenty of it! Chef was very helpful as two of us wanted half of 2 different pizzas. He split the dough instead and made us 2 smaller and wonderfully light pizzas. Authentic Italian based pizza in a fantastically English pub!
Quality produce costs; go find out for yourself. Highly recommended. Needs a bit of a spruce up, but still a great authentic pub....
Sat in the large garden, gorgeous food and drinks, staff are friendly, very welcoming and helpful.
Toilets are clean and easy to use.
Carpark is to the side of the pub and parking at the front so plenty of room, we have a large van and got in and out OK, even though it was very busy.

What this place lacks in terms of it's menu choices, it certainly makes up for by the sheer quality of the food here.
