Reviews Cafe Belgica

Stopped in to have a look at the furniture and found this delightful cafe. Decor was instagrammable, blossom tree in the centre. Great range of cakes, waitress was helpful and friendly. Had a pot of tea, cappuccino, carrot cake and a fruit scone with butter and jam, cost £12.10. Scone was a good size, if I was really picky I would say the jam portion let it down. The cafe screams upmarket but cheap portioned jam doesn't. Carrot cake was a decent size, was tasty but no cream cheese frosting. Cappuccino was good as was the tea. Would definitely return.

Lovely cafe, furnished and decorated beautifully. Service is slow on account of having only one coffee machine but apart from that it's a great option in this area!

Always busy. Food is ok, but very pricey, in my opinion. I had Spicy Sweet Potato Soup which was nice but way too salty. Service is good, waiting staff friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is noisy with chatter and very quiet music. Nice enough place for lunch or just coffee and cake. Take plenty money!

Lovely little coffee shop / restaurant with a good selection of hot food. Home made soup was very tasty, served with wholemeal bread. I can recommend the Chicken Balmoral. Excellent selection of cakes, traybakes and scones. All staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place. (We were two adults and one toddler)

WE WENT IN AGAIN ON SATURDAY GUY FOX NIGHT 5TH NOVEMBER 2022 FOR LUNCH. I Had the stake pie & there was plenty of tender stake in it & lovely thick gravy & the chips weren't soggy at all, they were nice & crisp & the veg was spot on too BUT what impressed me most was the piping hot 🔥 plate it was served up on, & that's how all food should be except for salads & that certainly gets a 10/10 never had a plate as hot as that b4. Their Carmel apple pie & custard was VG although the custard could have been a wee bit hotter, but despite that the custard was nice & thick & creamy & NOT watery, like in some other places. The usual young guy was there with his very short hair cut that scurries about very quickly & gets things done I was served by a pleasent young girl who gets 10/10 Janie had their house salad, cold meat, chicken 🐥 & cheese 🧀 & she told me it was very good, even though their was plenty of grated cheese 🧀 on it. We promised to return again - it was a bit pricey BUT we enjoyed it & all was duly scoffed up, so I didn't mind paying dear for it all.
