Some locals advised us to eat here, and it was an excellent choice. We had fish and chips, and cheesecake for dessert. Incredible, an exquisite texture and flavour, homemade and a very generous portion. Philip was the one who took care of our lunch, and he was super friendly with us, treated us as if we had known each other all our lives and he advised us where to go in Edinburgh. Super friendly, generous and kind. It was a pleasure to eat and have the after-lunch conversation with him. Thank you Phillip.

Great place, friendly staff. Arrived after 8 p.m. Yesterday and they opened the kitchen again for us. Dinner was delicious. And the choice of Whisky and Gin is worth a visit.

This place was lovely. Food was good and veggie friendly. Waiter was great and offered recommendations. My partner got the veggie lasagne and loved it. I got a chicken roast with haggis and peppercorn sauce. Decor inside had some nice old historical features too.

Great Local Real Ale & Spirits bar at Bo'ness foreshore. Great Pizza's and Sit down menu with daily specials. Eclectic dining furniture in the Dining / Function suite and a similar Eclectic range of table & comfy chairs in the main bar. Great for an evening out or one of their special comedy nights, which are a must attend.

Visited for first time here recently and will certainly return. Huge portion of steak pie and chips followed by cheesecake, absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced and service with a smile by lovely barmaid.

Food was absolutely wonderful. Wood fired pizza served from Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm. Chips are homemade and filling. Unfortunately, we were so full from starter and main, we didn't get to try desserts but from looking around, they seemed just as wonderful. Family friendly with a play area outside. Lovely and friendly staff that check you're okay throughout the meal and lots of options both meat and vegetarian and vegan and gluten free. Thank you!

Staff are polite and friendly, food is amazing as well. Really nice place to go for good quality food! They also have a large gluten free menu which is unusual for most places.

A very friendly welcome for all including the doggy. The pub is well stocked with beers and spirits. The food is the without a doubt the best pub food you can get, no wonder the were voted the best for 2023. The portions are more than big enough for anyone. A restaurant would be very hard pushed to rival this quality. The service was second to none, not pushy but always available if you want anything.

Jim (Jimbo) Warren's review > Dark & dingy but the food is good. Yet the problem with most places is hot food put on to cold plates as with my chicken curry. The chunks of chicken werent tuff but were a bit too firm. Other than that it tasted ok. The custard was good but the possibly tinned apples were a bit hard in the apple tart/slice/pie. Returned again in September 2020 & this piece of chicken 🐥 aint have BQ. Should only be 3 * * * BACK IN AGAIN 3 yrs later 3/10/23 with a funeral party. Coffee came only WARM, waited for more - nothing doing, so went to the bar & paid for a lovely tasting Lattie & when the guy eventually came round with the Coffee pot i got my cup of lattie ☕ topped up. The waiters didn't go round often enough with the tea & Coffee pots. The boofie consisted of small sausage rolls & they were warm also BUT they tasted great as did the tryanguler cut sannies with many different fillings in them to choose from, funny enough i didn't see any napkins about. They had lovely small varied cakes on display, i chose a small round bit of shortbread but it was a tad soft & tasted horrible. The best small & large shortbread can be bought in CENTRAL PERK on, or the approach to Grahams rd in Falkirk SO get yersell doon there & check it out & u won't be disappointed. 😁

It's a lovely place, awesome food, good value for money and the barkeeper is very kind. He also gave us his personal insider tip, which we absolutely must have a look at during this holiday. When you're nearby, you should definitely drink a beer or eat something there.

Great food and drinks with a friendly welcome. Popped in on the way home with our dog, just for drinks, however ended up having our dinner. The food was great, I had a Burger and the chips were golden brown and so tasty, my partner had Fajitas which arrived sizzling and full of flavor. Dog friendly which always helps!
