Great place - I sat with my two girls 4 and 7 watching the world go buy eating top notch crispy not greasy fish and chips. The owner was like a busy bee welcoming everyone and bending over backwards to get everyone out of the cold and too a table as soon as possible. This was hard work due to the place being full at 12:30 (a real achievement for a beach side cafe in November). To top off the great food, great service and great attitude, they had kids cutlery!!! A must visit.
Great cafe. Superb food and lovely sea view. Definitely recommend this for anyone visiting. Blue Anchor Bay with dogs!

Got to say I had an excellent meal the fish was beautiful, I asked if I could have it with chips and mushy peas and that’s what I got. Just a nice potion and I really enjoyed it. My two friends who where with me where astounded as they said it was a first that I had ever eaten all my meal. The fish I think was Sea Bass it was the choice on the board. I have only every been for breakfast which cannot be faulted. I am hard to please and my friends where delighted that I was so pleased with my lunch. I shall be returning. Compliments to the chef who one of my friends knew.
''This is an outstanding cafe, serving a great menu of well loved dishes and cakes. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting.
One of our favourite place to be
The best fish an chips I've had in the UK, looked it up on trip advisor travelling back from Devon......the fish wasnt oily, lovley crunchy batter and chips nice an golden with yummy mushy peas......mmmmm.
Great end to a weekend!
Had our 1st visit to your lovely café today such a friendly place, staff helpful & friendly. Had your fish n chips it was so lovely & thoroughly enjoyable. Would highly recommend you to friends. We heard about you from a fellow facebooker.
The Driftwood Cafe is a great place to visit. It is situated on the sea front at Blue Anchor, just along from the West Somerset Steam Railway station.
We have been going to Blue Anchor Bay for many years and always pop in to the Driftwood.
They offer a wide choice of good home cooked food. From an all day full cooked breakfast, daily specials; soup, fresh fish, other cooked meals, to salads, sandwiches, cakes and snacks.
The meals are good value and well priced.
They also serve the best choice of ice creams around!
They also have a small range of tasteful articles for sale (not your average seaside tat!)
It's worth looking at the old photos on the walls, they are really interesting to see the changes to the landscape over the years.
You can sit inside, on the veranda or in the garden. It's all very well kept and clean.
It's a very popular place!
Best place ever lovely staff especially poppy always smiling
Great location, great food, great everything! Whenever we are in the area we pop in and always enjoy it.
Great place to eat and drink after a walk on the beach with the dog. Cakes are delicious.
Fabulous sea food salad, welcomes dogs too, service is efficient and friendly, great views over the bay, just round the corner from the train station so a good place to stop and jump off for breakfast or lunch
Had THE most amazing fish and chips here on Wednesday this week. I commented that it was more like a whale and chips as it was soooo huge. Beautifully cooked, not a bit of grease anywhere, would certainly recommend. xx
Nice view friendly staff and excellent food
A super place for food, good menu from breakfast to teatime and all very well served.
Always visit the Driftwood Cafe when visiting Blue Anchor....such a lovely friendly little place x
Lovely setting, friendly service. Only had drinks so can’t comment on food. Drinks were spot on.
Staff very friendly, nice and clean inside and out. Quite a good range of cakes and foods for small cafe. Good live music on a Wednesday evening til 9pm. Some prices are a bit high for what you get though.
Arrived on Friday for a 3 night stay on the touring section. Decided to have an All Day Breakfast each and a Latte when we arrived before setting our campervan and awning up.
The food arrived very quickly and all items were piping hot and nicely cooked. The latte was also very hot and the mug it was served in kept it hot.
Good value for £8.50 each for the All Day Breakfasts and, I think £3.50 each for the latte's.
We might try an afternoon tea or coffee & cake if we get time over the weekend.
This place was a very pleasant surprise. The food and cakes were excellent and had a homemade feel to them.
The staff are absolutely lovely and very friendly and helpful.
The indoor seating is really nice with a small mixture of tables, low coffee tables with sofas and some high tables. There's also quite a few tables outside on the decking.
Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and drink we enjoyed.
The outlook is lovely because you look straight out to sea.
We've been to other Holborne sites, but this was the best eatery so far. If you go to Blue Anchor, even if you are not staying on site, I'd recommend you pay it a visit. The cafe is right at the front of the site with parking outside.
We went as a group of 5 adults, 3 children and 3 dogs and even though the restaurant is small, we were always able to get seating.
So in summary, a cafe/restaurant/bar with a great view, lovely staff, good food and a nice atmosphere even though it's part of the Holborne caravan park.
Looking for place serving early breakfast
Website said opened at 08.00 however notice on door said 09.00!
Bright decor and Seaview.
One orders at bar and full cooked breakfast for 8.00 a bargain.
Service friendly and prompt.
Parking is free on road outside.
Appears to be part of caravan park so could get busy.
This is Blue Anchors new cafe. It is lovely. Views of tbe Bay and lovely food. We had a cream tea and the scones were monsters. Highly recommend
Perfect spot overlooking the sea. Lovely outside seating area, a large comfortable restaurant . Great food and drinks are served by friendly staff 😋
Excellent service from the staff, great food, baguettes, jacket potatoes, sandwiches etc. Lovely tea and coffee with cakes and dog friendly too, each time we visited our dog was given a treat. Also wonderful views over the Channel.
Beautiful cafe with sea views. Very dog friendly. Nice menu. Friendly staff.
Just been refurbished with large outside terrace. Nice coffee and Cakes, which although very nice, a bit pricey. Overall, a good afternoon coffee experience.
Nice cafe on the sea front with wheelchair access and disabled toilets, a bit expensive but worth it for the view.
What a lovely find at Blue Anchor, even with free parking . Dog friendly, staff very friendly, good atmosphere and good clean food ,good choice and not over expensive.
I love this cafe the food is delicious, disabled accessibility, dog friendly, very reasonable pricing, a lovely view and the staff are wonderful but they need a pay raise Hobourne! They are often very busy, don't get long breaks at all, and it has been the same 2 girls working for the past 3 days. I hope with the new space from the golf course that they will get a staff toilet longer breaks more kitchen space and more staff then the same 2 girls working their hardest in a cafe that has about 30 people in it. Please treat your staff nicely.
Stayed a week at this Caravan Park, great amenities and Restaurant. Great Staff.
Good breakfast! Fry up or baps. Also, serve a little alcohol and they have great views of the coast
Swimming and life guarding with grandchildren. Great place, lovely staff , very accommodating. Helpful. Recommended to all
Saw this place and decided to pop in for a coffee which was very nice. Modern and clean with very good disabled access. It is part of a holiday home site which we are considering staying with but they currently have only one disabled access caravan. All the staff were lovely.
Lovely friendly staff and good varied menu.
Extremely friendly staff, great food and dog friendly, definitely recommended
