We had a short 2 night stay at The Crown Hotel and it was a lovely relaxing break. The room had everything we could need, the bed was comfortable and tea and coffee making facilities were provided. Shower was powerful and hot with complimentary toiletries and soft clean towels. The restaurant was a
We stayed at the Crown Hotel for one night, our room was so beautiful and comfortable, with lots of space. The food was the most delicious food we had in a while, and we eat at some prestigious places. The staff was warm and welcome especially Fatima, what a delight she is. Shower was also very spac
Stayed for 3 nights and would definitely come again. The room was extremely clean and warm, as it was October when we stayed. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The food is gorgeous and the bar has a friendly atmosphere. Just what you need for a few days away
Fabulous food. We visited The Crown on the last night of our holiday and were rewarded with a friendly local pub atmosphere and superb Sri Lankan food (as well as all the usual pub classics.) The cocktails are worth a visit for as well.
The best place we stayed in the UK! Staff were warm and welcoming! They had a fantastic pub with some of the best food we have had in England and lovely little bar. The town itself is was so charming with an interesting history, definitely feels like a real hidden gem
We visited the Crown for Sunday lunch, it was amazing. We had roast lamb, there was a choice of 3 meats, it was tender and we had plenty, the vegetables were cooked to perfection, roast potatoes devine, Yorkshires too and extra gravy. We had a complimentary sweet afterwards, chocolate brownie and ice
Lovely old Inn. We stayed overnight for a wedding in Chipping Camden. The hotel owners could not hve been more helpful. They arranged an early chk in on 1 of our rooms so we could get changed after a long car journey. Both rooms were spotless clean & very cozy & warm. Breakfast ws lovely too. Thank
Fantastic! Perfect location to explore the countryside. Room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean. Restaurant food was exceptional, breakfast delicious with lots of choice. Service excellent, everyone was so helpful. A pleasure to stay, we will return! Highly recommend! Thankyou.
Staff couldn't be more helpful. Rooms were great value but I would have paid an extra £2 to get 2 sausages with my full English ;)
The Village has a small shop and cafe but it was never busy which is great for a relaxing trip. We went on a motorcycle and there is lots to see within 50 miles.
Highly
We have just come back from a 2 night stay at this hotel with our dog. I have absolutely no negative comments to make as the owners were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and spacious enough for the 3 of us. The cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious and the service was spot on.
Amazing little Gem of a hotel
Best nights sleep I've ever had away from home spotlessly clean ..very friendly staff, quaint hotel lots of little Winding staircases..large restaurant area with freshly made meals didn't have evening meal as we stayed there to attend a wedding reception nearby but brea
Went here for dinner, we were seated in the restaurant which was a shame as there was no cosy pub atmosphere in the restaurant, plus not the best music playing, it was all a bit strange. But the food was 10/10 and the service was 10/10 we would have just liked to eat in the bar area where it felt li
Really don’t get a lot of these reviewers.. Its a 16th? century building, its never going to be a new fancy hotel and nor should it, we stayed in the 4 poster room at the front and it was lovely, charming decoration, friendly staff and quiet yet handy quaint village location.
Carpark was free and a
We stayed here as it is so well placed to visit the Cotswolds.
Room comfortable spacious and quiet.
Bar worth a visit in the evenings and the food really good.
When returning to the Cotswolds will definitely come back here.
Sweet, historical hotel in a wonderful little town. The management and bar keep are wonderful and very helpful. Only downside is getting out of Blockley is a little more difficult than in neighboring, larger towns. Got to see some filming of Father Brown though!
The fish and chips were very tasty although a few more peas would have gone down well
Service was brilliant .
Parking not easy as the road is narrow and obviously for local residents
We stayed in nearby Paxford and did not stay at the hotel, however we went over to Blockley for dinner. We weren't sure where to eat. The Crown Hotel was one of the places we looked at. The Sri Lankan food sign drew us in, even though we had not had Sri Lankan food previously. The staff was kind,
