This pub is a little gem hidden away in an old mining village village. The locals are friendly, the beer is great and a great menu on offer. From the road it looks nice but venture to beer garden for a view that’s absolutely stunning.

Staff are always friendly, even when they are really busy it doesn't take long to get drinks. It's really improved since it was taken over, the food is great and they have so much on through the week and weekends. They also host lots of wonderful events for the children such as breakfast with santa,

We've just had a lovely birthday meal for 12 adults and 2 kids. Most people got the roast, and the food just kept coming! Decided to stop in the garden for impromptu after meal drinks because the countryside view was so nice.
Looked better on the website than it was but the food was OK and reasonably priced. Not many beers on offer, more of a lager pub with sticky floors. Staff didn't seem to know what they had or what they were doing, may have been new!

Our second time coming here in a week. A very warm welcome had both times. Excellent food in a dog friendly environment with beautiful views. Be warned that if you go large on the Sunday roast you may well need a doggy bag….. it’s enormous!!! We will be back xx

The Bird in Hand is the best pub in Blidworth. Fantastic atmosphere and a great Landlord and Landlady that can’t do enough for you. Lots of themed nights and the price of drinks and food is great too.
