We've been many times and think it's great food in great atmosphere. On Friday we attended the Elvis tribute night. It was a great night, full to capacity and we still received good service and food. We might try another tribute night again. Highly recommend.

Had excellent bar food yesterday, Brie and Bacon baguette, fish and chips and a burger. Great service, lovely waitress, most attentive and friendly, we were table 33 outside. Only fly in the ointment I left my hoodie on the back of the chair and someone pinched it. Will definitely return though.

Another brilliant night , Abba tribute on Saturday night. Excellent food as always, despite the amount they were serving. The staff were incredible so upbeat, fast service joiu8ng in dancing behind the bar and nothing too much trouble. Even managed to find glue when one of the girls' shoes snapped ! Thank you everyone. Only slight negative, they band not on long enough , but other music great.

A nicely furbished clean pub where you can eat comfortably inside or outside. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. We like the pie and mash nights on Mondays - authentic reasonably priced food.

A lovely oldie worldie pub, lovely large areas, friendly staff and exceptional home style gutsy food. I had the fish pie, could pick out allll the various fish used and delicious large prawns, superb mash served with tasty well cooked veg. Large portions , couldn't manage the deserts, will do next time!

First visit to the Red Lion yesterday for Sunday lunch, absolutely great, lovely staff, food delicious, great price, and if you are a smoker you can sit outside in a comfortable area not having to sneak outside like an outcast for a cig. Compliments to all, will definitly be going back for more 😄😄😄😄

Hands down the best pub in the local area. Food is excellent, staff are always really nice. Plus, the pub is now dog-friendly and has been for a few years. Dogs can’t go in the pub itself, however the undercover seating area is lovely (as pictured here) and comfortable, so we were quite happy being able to take our pooch out for lunch with us. The food and beers are really reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful lunch at The Red Lion on the way down to Bognor from Colchester. Service was super friendly, prompt and professional. Beer was good and the Streak & Kidney pudding hit the spot. Thank you !

After a long uphill walk any Pub in the Storm !! But this one was a Cracker. Lovely welcome and soon pints of Green King IPA (£4.50) and Speckled Hen were drawn from the well kept cellar Lots folk around we're taking luncheon from a different and interesting menu. Next time the range of Omelettes on the lunch menu are reasonably priced (£8.00) and well worth it from what we saw. Others enjoyed the burger and some the White Bait. Only slight comment perhaps would be there was no Guest Ale and as both local Breweries (Godstone & Larkins) offer really fine ales it would be nice to see this pub support at least one of them. But that's a beer monster opinion. It does not detract from a fine pub with loadsa interesting stuff to enjoy. We will return.

Only popped in for a drink but what a lovely welcome. Sorry did not get the name of the young lady who served us, quite petite with red hair. Lovely manner. Very knowledgeable nothing was too much trouble answering our questions. Looked a very nice place and the food looked amazing too. We will definitely be back to sample the menu. Thank you for your brilliant hospitality. Mary & Glyn

As fairly new Bletchingley residents we thought we’d try the local for dinner. It was Tuesday night Curry Club, and the Jalfrezi was delicious. My wife had scampi and chips, which she says was also lovely. The pub was quiet being a Tuesday, but none the worse for that, and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. And the sticky toffee pudding was just gorgeous. Will definitely be going again!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here on a Monday bank holiday. Staff were super friendly and efficient. The menu had some usual fare but also some rather more unusual meals such as a venison pie. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal, and the kids (8 & 6) enjoyed their burgers which were of a generous size (which they need at that age!) Good pint of Landlord too. Thank you!

Popular and very good pub and restaurant. They have done good food for many years and continue to do so. Pleasant and helpful staff. I had fish fingers in baguette with gherkins, homemade tartar sauce and crisps. A very good lunch.

Varied menu ,reasonable priced, tasty, and well presented . friendly, helpful waitress. The glass table tops could have done with a clean, and the outside could do with a good sweep ,looked very scruffy .

Visited here on a Thursday lunch time, nice to see it was busy! This pub has a small car park with very tight spaces. I noticed that there were no vegan options on their lunch menu, so mentioned it to a member of staff and she very kindly asked in the kitchen and they made me a vegan sausage sandwich which I was very grateful for. The waiting staff were really lovely and attentive. I would definitely return - hopefully they'll add a couple of vegan options to the lunch menu! 5 stars for customer service, 4 stars for the menu.
