I tried for a table here on the off chance that there were be some availability and I was thrilled to see that there was a table available for 6:15pm on a Wednesday.
We arrived to a busy restaurant and were greeted by a very nice member of staff who showed us to our table.
Drinks orders were taken and delivered promptly, along with main orders.
Fantastic range of really lovely sounding items on the menu.
Happy to report that each course came quickly, looked (and tasted) great, brilliant, professional service. Kitchen works like a well oiled machine - the Cherry Bakewell Cheesecake was stunning.
Can't wait to visit again. Wholeheartedly recommend.
The most amazing food! Highly recommend the 10oz ribeye, shrimp mac & cheese and lamb 3 ways. Lemon cheesecake was delicious! Staff were friendly and my husband was surprised with a cupcake and song for his birthday, which made the evening! Super portions and we all left with full bellies and big smiles. You won't be disappointed!!!! Can't wait to go back 😁👍
Incredible food, wonderful atmosphere and the service from the staff was outstanding. First time visit and it won't be the last.
Soup of the day was delicious, with a seeded bread - stunning. Then onto the Taste of Welsh Beef and it was pure heaven! Every element just complimented each other and usually I'm not a fan of triple cooked chips but these have definitely changed my mind.
100% recommend Butterflies Bar & Kitchen.
Our second visit and wow the food was amazing again. We all had different dishes for both starters and mains. The fish of the day was bream and the battered fish was haddock. Can't wait to return!

WOW, first time to visit here and luckily got a late cancellation slot on a very busy Sunday afternoon.
Very warm welcome on arrival and shown to our table. You could Feel The energy and atmosphere in this well run establishment.
Their was no rush for the customer to make choices on ordering which is really good, we went for the Sunday sharing board experience. Having ate at many restaurants and sampling all kinds of Sunday roasts, WOW, this was by a country mile the best Sunday lunch we have had to date, the sharing board came to our table well presented and piping hot, you could have shared it amongst four people. The meats were melt in your mouth and cooked to perfection. The whole sharing board was absolutely spot on. I thought pasture and steak and stamp was hard to beat for quality and taste of food, this place just delivers on another level, we can see why it's so in demand and such a long waiting list to get a good a table on a weekend. The desserts are so good you want them all. Snickers Brownie was the best brownie my wife has ever tasted.
Excellent customer service by all the hard working staff, and credit to the ever hard working chefs for producing high end quality food and presentation.
We look forward to coming back for steak night.
The secret Sunday gravy is so good, they should bottle it to sell.

Been to butterfly's quite a few times now with my hubby and family and for my birthday there were 13 of us but never had lunch there and omg it didn't disapoint it was amazing I literally couldn't wait.I didn't realise that you had to pre book the lunch experience so messaged as soon as I realised.I wasn't expecting the experience as they had to speak to chef but the team was able to do this for us I got to say it was the best Sunday lunch I've had the meat you could cut with a fork,gravy to die for fresh vegetables and plenty of everything. Had to take quite a bit home having it today. Can't wait to come back on Xmas eve and in January hopefully xx

Went for a meal to celebrate my A-Level results and had a lovely meal. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and atmosphere was great. We all really enjoyed our meals!
Came across this place without reading about it. Just walked in and asked if we could get a table for two. Of course it was very busy but Lauren did her magic and got us one a little later. That Pork Belly was as good as one could possibly imagine, and then more.
Nice atmosphere, staff are extra friendly, everyone is treated to highest standards. Kids friendly too! The coffee was of good quality. (you don't get that necessarily in a non barrista-bar place)
Came back the next day and gave the Steak Ale Pie a go. Not disappointed. Same food quality and service and again some more of Lauren's friendliness. Legend.

Can't miss the big blue building, entrance not well sign posted, looks like someone's front door. Minimal on street parking, but found somewhere to park down the hill. Not wheelchair friendly as very small narrow aisles. Booked 4 weeks in advance. Lovely quirky decor, staff friendly. Starters of chicken, calamari and soup were lovely, large portions. The pate in a jar was very bland and awkward to eat. Steaks were amazing, massive portions of chunky chips. The fish and chips was huge, dont order it if you want a light bite. Containers available to take home what you cant eat. Good choice of desserts.

Visited for my 21st birthday and I will definitely be returning. The food was absolutely amazing, the portion sizes were massive and full of flavour. I personally had the Rueben Burger with a side of the loaded onion rings, while my parents had the Chateaubriand for two, Both dishes were presented stunningly! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.
Food is stunning using the best quality meat from my favourite butchers Bromfields Gilwern.
I Haven't been for a while, but whenever I have the food has been outstanding, the service is friendly, personable and seamless. I have personally recommended you to many friends and colleagues who have all been super impressed -some of which have travelled miles for a meal and all returned.
Great value for money yet high end quality food and super friendly.

It was our first visit to Butterflies, and we were impressed by the cleanliness. We were greeted on arrival, which was nice, and led by a waiter to our table. His prompt manerism was excellent as we ordered drinks and our selected meal from the menu. The waitresses who tended to our needs afterwards also revealed their passion for what they do. We will visit again.
Went for my birthday. Third time visiting this place and the food was unreal, didn’t know the food could get better but it does each and every time. Staff were amazing and very attentive especially Elise who was very lovely. Will defo be back again.

Amazing restaurant. Love being a local to it. People come far and wide to try the food here. Staff are fabulous and doing amazing in these challenging times. Please don’t let some nasty peoples reviews put you off. You won’t be disappointed.
Amazing food the steak was flavourful and the chicken wings to start where great. Service was great much better than the first time I went a year ago. If I had to pick a fault it was that they tried charging us for meals which we didn't have which put an extra £100 on our bill but in all fairness soon has it was mentioned they corrected it and very apologetic. Defo be returning.
We had a great night out and was absolutely blown away by the steaks avaliable. The Tomahawk special was fantastic, every part of the meal was full of flavour and seasoning let the meat speak for itself. All the staff were on point and genuinely helpful. We were booking our next visit at the end of the meal. 11/10
