We had the whole restaurant to ourselves on a Wednesdaynight. The owner (I think the lady is the owner), is really nice. She took the time to explain the dishes and recommended a couple. I had the belly pork, for my taste it was way too salty. When I told the lady I didn't like it, she made a lovely chicken curry which I did like a lot. My partner had the lamb curry, the flavours were good. You do need a starter, because the portion sizes of the main dishes aren't that big.

We had a fantastic meal there last night. Lovely setting and service was very good. The wine was excellent and reasonably priced, the cocktails we had were also very good, would recommend the spicy margarita.
There was a good choice on the menu, I had a stunning cashew curry which is described as a side dish but it was plenty combined with a few other sides. The coconut roti was absolutely delicious and the samosas were the best we've ever had. Nothing felt greasy or processed just lovely, fresh flavours, superbly cooked.
The only thing I would say to improve is to double the chutney portion with the poppadoms as it was delicious but gone in a few scoops.
It's a great place, we will definitely return and recommend to people.

Lovely place and staff. Food was very good quality and nice to see fish on the menu, although on this occasion I had the lamb curry; portion size was perfect for me. I felt that the menu choice was limited, although they did have other options which you are informed of on your visit and prices were about right. When we were there the gents toilet door did not lock; not a problem for me but maybe for some.

Recently refurbished in the old Masons Arms pub in Blackwood, this restaurant has only been open for business a few days. We like to try different flavours and food styles and Sri Lankan food is always very nice. This is also true of the food we got to taste on our first visit to Chef Ceylon. The menu is slightly limited to start with but we hope as the restaurant goes from strength to strength that it will be expanded. Lovely starters, Samosas, Kottu etc. and a lovely chicken curry Sri Lankan style with a nice heat kick to it! A few desserts that are different and well worth a try. We will be back soon and we wish the restaurant all the best for the future!!!

Excellent food. Maybe feeling a little chaotic at the moment probably because it's early days.
This is NOT a balti house and you shouldn't expect ANYTHING to be like it is on a Bangladeshi menu. It was all delicious, not cheap, and well presented.
This is real Sri Lankan cuisine, not the Bengali/Brummie hybrid we grew up with!

Very beautiful place. Lovely food. Chicken kottu and mutton kottu was very tasty. Manager is very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to visit it again
