Amazing experience on 29th July, our server Amira was really lovely and friendly, the atmosphere and aesthetic was wonderful and the food was the best Indian I've ever had! Totally deserving of 5 stars, the perfect end to a birthday weekend out in Blackpool, I couldn't recommend this place enough. All the staff were nice and welcoming and we were even told the recipe for their green sauce is top secret and homemade by one of the employees mother's which was a nice homely touch. Loved it, thanks so much to everyone at Twisted.
I booked a large group for my husbands 30th, Amira was fantastic and patient when taking our pre orders and last minute orders communication was fast and helpful. The decor and atmosphere at twisted is lovely, perfect for any occasion and the food came out quickly and the quality was superb, honestly the best meal I've had in a long time and I can't wait to visit again soon.
I'd seen reviews of here before our trip so I had it in mind to visit at some point. We eventually got a chance our last night and we chanced it without reservation. Luckily we were early and they could accommodate us. The menu is short but sweet. Different options including lamb, chicken, prawns and veggie.
The twisted bit is how they interpret Indian food. We both love Indian food and have had several in different countries so we are always open to new options. We were not disappointed.
I had the cauliflower pakora for starters which, for some mind bending reason, made me think it was chicken! It was so flavourful and lots of it. Husband had the chicken seekh rolls which were also incredibly tasty. The dishes arrive in thali style plates and it just ups the experience. Loved it. The green sauce they give you on the side is fabulous, it's mustardy, hot (spicy) and refreshing in equal measure. If they bottled it I would've brought it home!
For mains I had the king prawn karahi with twisted rice and chapati. There was lots of prawns which was fabulous, the twisted rice was OMG. I could die happy if I had a trough of that. Husband had the butter chicken which he loved but he said he could've had a little more spice but not too much. But as butter chicken is mild it was very moreish. He had the pilau rice and a chapati. The bread is very very good, lighter than naan and easier to mop up all those sauces, fantastic.
We finished off with dessert (be rude not too) I had the chili brownie and husband had the orange chocolate brownie. Mine just tasted like a normal chocolate brownie which was very rich and gooey ( I probably couldn't taste the chili as I had lots of chili in my meal) but the hubby's chocolate orange was really orangey (I was jealous).
Overall a great experience, food was outstanding and staff very pleasant and efficient. We will definitely be back.
On my own and looking for a good Indian restaurant, I checked Google maps and this being the highest rated in the area I decided to go along and try it out, as soon as they opened I called to make a reservation.
I can see why it is rated so highly.
The food was fantastic and the service was just as good 👍 I started with the lamb seekh rolls to start followed by a chicken tikka masala with pilau rice, chapattis and twisted chips.
I had finished my starter before I realized and I didn't get a picture, but needless to say it was excellent.
When the main course came out I was pleasantly surprised at how much chicken tikka masala there was but me being me, it went down a treat. A couple of pictures of the main course attached and I will definitely be back the next time I'm up here.
Amira and all the staff were very knowledgeable and attentive, well done all, thank you for a fantastic meal.
Regards Andy 👍👌👏👏
A beautiful hidden gem in Blackpool's side streets. The food choice is amazing, loads of starters and mains at surprisingly good prices. I say surprisingly, as the service and decor is amazing. Amira treats you as a friend or family member rather than a customer when you walk in. Amazing food, good drinks choice, lovely decor and superb service. It's a place you need to visit. Make sure to book in advance as the restaurant isn't huge, and all food is cooked by highly talented chefs off a 6 ring burner in the kitchen!
Absolutely phenomenal food and fantastic services and the portion is amazing. It’s busy in there but the food brilliant. Strongly recommend to try them out. It’s so Vibey the theme! Family and kid friendly
Newly open this summer! They were rated number 1 in the local gazette in October 2021, so I thought I’ll try it out, and I was not disappointed. The dishes were absolutely delicious. None of those usual Indian cuisines where hot spices take you away from all the other beautiful Indian spices and flavours they add to the dish. Soft and flavoursome 👌🏽. Will definitely visit again. Host was also informative and very helpful!
My husband has been going on about wanting to eat here, when we got the chance to spend a night out, we went for my birthday. What a brilliant meal. Absolutely divine, every mouthful an explosion of taste. We had the mixed grill for 2 people with two different Indian breads, curry sauce and pickles. We got taken on a gastronomic journey. This is no ordinary Indian Restaurant, it is worlds apart from that. Oh and don't forget to have one of the Brownies for dessert, whether you are old school puddings, or modern artistic splashes on a plate, the desserts match up to the main course, an absolutely taste experience, where you take the first taste and have a slight orgasm !! A must go to Restaurant. Good luck in the finals in Birmingham, and thank god you're here in Blackpool. Xxxx
Managed to get a table late on a Friday night and although there was a limited menu there was still plenty of choice available. Tried the veg samosas, the chicken tikka and the tarka daal with chapatis. The food was brilliant, so much flavour in the daal and the chicken tikka and the samosas were light flaky and crispy and packed with well seasoned veg. The service was also excellent and the girl serving was really friendly
I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant. It's my favourite Indian restaurant in all the world and it's on my doorstep. Feeling very blessed. Amira is the hostess with the mostess. A smile that could light up a room with a personality to match. The staff always go the extra mile. It's just the most wonderful space to be. Food is sublime - Indian street food made with love - wine top notch and the crystal cut glasses are so decadent to drink from. Great atmosphere and right in the heart of Blackpool. Photoshoot opportunity on the Twisted swing a must.
