Went to al amir Indian restaurant last night (sat 30th sept) after fancying a curry on the last night of our trip to blackpool, so googled near by Indian restaurants and al Amir came up with the top three searches, after looking at the reviews we settled on going here, it was easy to find and just a few mins walk from the main prom, when we turned up at 9pm and not having booked a table, we walked straight in and was given a table for two straight away, we ordered a pint of cobra and pint of carling which came within minutes, for starters we ordered onion bhaji and chicken rolls, they came out with about 10-12mins, and I eat Indians quite regularly and must say that the onion bhaji is probably the best I've ever Had, nice and crunchy but not greasy! For mains we had lamb jalfrezi and a chicken dupiaza which were very nice and enjoyable, we also had another two pints of cobra which brought the bill to £44, will certainly go back again next time we're in Blackpool so keep up the good work.
1st time in Al Amir last night as my hubby and I were there to have a late 1st Wedding Anniversary meal, food was excellent and service was good, will definitely be going back again
Fantastic food reasonable price very clean a gem of a place cant wait to eat here again
Me and my partner went in and there was only us in. There was a bit of a smell(drains) but that didn't put us off. We ordered food and wasn't disappointed the food was amazing the only fault was there was too much. Would definitely go again next time we visit Blackpool.
Excellent food with friendly staff and the price is very reasonable too
Nice place very friendly and fantastic food would recommend and def come again

Me & my husband had a lovely meal for our 30th anniversary 6th November 2017 ending our weekend in blackpool before we got the train home didn't have starters but the mains were lovely although the lamb was a bit chewing but we would definitely go back service was very quick & the restaurant was very cosy
Excellent curry asked for madras hot and got madras hot ! Best naan bread I've had in years well recommended
Service was fantastic, the food was fabulous great quality place will certainly visit again
Food was excellent, arrived not too long after ordering, great prices & staff were polite & friendly will definitely be going again
Beautiful curry. Best karahi I have eaten. Polite staff.....spot on. Not too expensive too
Great staff great food great night had by all loved it
Good atmosphere.
We came very late but the staff was very happy to serve. Really appreciated. Very neat and clean. Very very good food. More than that very nice staff.....
Was recommended this place from my parents who come here when they're in blackpool so decided to come with my boyfriend. Probably the best Indian restaurant we've been to. We visited on a Saturday so was slightly more as no offers etc but worth it. We were seated straight away and served drinks, starters within 5 minutes. The chicken Tikka was so tender and full of flavour, this is one of the reasons we will be returning just for the chicken 🤣 chicken kormas, rice, chips and keema naan were very tasty, naan full of meat!
Will defo be back 😁
Didn't have high expectations but thought the food was really good. Chicken with spinach and a couple of chapatis. Definitely recommended when you're done with fish and chips in Blackpool. 😀
The most amazing curry ever the service was great couldn’t ask for better took around twenty minutes for main dish which I thought was great as we took the popadoms instead of starter. Great value for money will definitely be back and tell people to go
We've had takeaways for here quite a lot, so wanted to go out for a meal here. The restaurant is dated, but you'd call it retro now. But it was clean, the food was very tasty and the portions were generous. I think it's on the expensive side, but it's the same across the board these days. Will be going again in the near future..
Great food but was ignored when asking for another drink once it got busy with a large group arriving. Saw one group leave for the same reason as they had waited a long time and not been served. I understand they were not expecting that large group in but shouldn’t ignore the other customers.
Great! Most delicious Indian food i've ever had..
Keema nan was amazing! Couldn't stop eating :')
Biryani was great!!!
*And thanks to the lovely waiter, he is so nice *
Had a lovely meal here. Good food, nice friendly staff. Service was quick. Will definitely go again, next time in Blackpool.
It was mostly empty. The food was good, i couldn't eat it all, the portion size was plentiful. Staff were very friendly i would go back again.
had a lovely meal , which was well cooked and delivered with great customer service
This is a large restraint with plenty of seatinting around good sized tables, and large bar/service desk
the decor in this restraint is nice especially the chair design and the artwork and decorations on the walls.
Located behind Blackpool North station, and down the main road from Sainsbury's
Lovely meal for two . Chicken tikka dopiaza and chicken masala with rice , onion bhaji and garlic nan . Fast service , friendly and will return next time were in blackpool !
Great meal we have been here twice when we have been to Blackpool, great food and reasonable price and l am a picky person. Service good and we got a takeaway bag for what we could not eat, recommend it anyday, Gary smiling so must be good
Went in on my birthday having never been there before and have to say the food was great very tasty, had veggie Rogan Josh with Bombay potatoes and was very nice only issue was bit too hot as I usually have Rogan Josh because of the mildness but was a bit too spicy hot, garlic nan bread I have to say was the best I have ever had, reasonably price and good service, will defo go again.
Started going here regularly, fantastic food and friendly and helpful staff, woukd recommended the butter chicken and garlic naans
Loved it great curry house
Popped in on a whim and were very impressed. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter who tended to us courteously and quickly. Myself and my wife had our toddler with us and the staff were very helpful in providing us with a high chair. The food choices are plentiful and typical for an Indian restaurant, there are vegetarian options available and a wide range of wines, spirits and beers. The food was served within a reasonable time, piping hot and delicious. We truly felt like we have stumbled on a hidden gem, in the thousands of food restaurants in Blackpool. Prices reasonable for dine in, but in my opinion value for money without compromising the quality. Next time we visit Blackpool, we will come back again. Highly recommended.
