Great spot used Wetherspoon app to order food and drinks very efficient service only three minutes between ordering and arrival of drinks 🍹 followed swiftly by food . Warm atmosphere friendly staff food was good quality reasonably priced . Check back carried out moments after food delivered to table . I'm giving this place four stars because it is in the centre of Blackpool and you are not taking your life in your hands by entering it! Those unfamiliar with the centre of Blackpool can be reassured that downtown Beirut on a bad day can look like a villiage in the Cotswolds compared to this town-competing stag parties, rampaging drunks looking for someone with a "little too much mouth" (just a slight glance can set them off!). It can be a tad hairy at night when in season. However, this JDW is not like that despite its central location. First, it is very large, with a really big straight bar at the back and enough space to be reassured you will find a seat. There is always a few real ales on as well as the range of very reasonably priced beers and spirits. The food is the JDW staples and none the worse for it. The name of the pub has something to do with a story about..well, Peter and the lion. I can't recall what, but there are quite nice pieces that realte to the title. Overall this place is somewhere I could happilly spend a night in, though to be fair and honest I have only ever been early evening.

New Wetherspoons pub on Blackpool promenade very close to the Tower, been open since July 2010 and we visited during the first week. Plenty of ale choice that you would expect from a JDW pub, most of which were on top form. The decor of the place is as you would expect (given its newness and JDW's attention to space and detail) very impressive (you can't fail to spot the Albert and the Lion story on the wall, and the lion wall-hanging with two feet popping out of its mouth). The service was very good too, knowledgeable and friendly, maybe because they want to make a good impression during the early days of its business. Time will tell whether it survives and flourishes, particularly during the quiter winter months (and especially during the week when visitors are less frequent), but I for one hope it does and will continue to pop in. They might need to consider doing something with the doors (maybe get a revolving set?) as the weather and winds will soon have them deteriorating and slamming before you know it.

This Restaurant was a big surprise. As we went to another Wetherspoons in Blackpool (which was not very nice), we were very happy with the decision to visit this one. It was very busy and the staff was very friendly despite to all the circumstances. Food was served in minutes. It was warm and very good. I really have to recommending the Pizza there. Enjoy this one ;)

Our experience was good here on our recent visit. One thing that always appeals is the extended hours that you can get food when most other pubs and restaurants have stopped serving. The food was good here. Staff were friendly and helpful on our visit. Spent a couple of hours here and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area. Recommended for you to try for yourself.

The pub was really busy on arrival. Ordered a breakfast expecting a lengthy wait. 10 minutes later it arrived. Outstanding service. So much so we returned for evening meals which was equally as quick

The Albert & The Lion, situated on the front of the Blackpool Mile, near the Tower was very busy. I managed to get a table for one, sad but that's life. A member of staff cleaned the table within a few minutes of taking my seat. There is an ongoing problem with using your phone to order. This was quickly rectified when I asked a member of staff about wifi, he kindly took my phone and connected me to WiFi, allowing me to order fish and chips, mushy peas which arrived within 10 mins and was excellent. I would recommend a visit. The only negative was the toilet cubicle which could a been cleaner. Overall experience was good.

Very busy location near Blackpool tower, one of the most expensive spoons I’ve been in though, beat London prices. #70 in my Spoons quest Having said that food was brought reasonably fast, was ok, staff efficient with a nice friendly atmosphere, clean.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. The pub was busy but we found a table quickly. Tried to order on the app but it wasn't working so went to the bar. After a little wait was served by a friendly barman. Food arrived about a minute after I got back to the table from the bar. Service was super quick today! The bathrooms were clean and down 2 flights of stairs. They did have an accessible toilet on the ground level. Would visit again when next in Blackpool.

Our waitress Kerry was lovely. Nothing too much bother and a nice smile. The place was heaving on Wednesday but she was still cheerful. Thanks Kerry. We did tell your manager too hope she passed it on.

A very busy venue but did manage to find a table. Didn't have to wait long for our food, it was good value for money. Would have stayed longer but it was to noisy to have a chat
