Great food and real ale.
Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning with the Mrs and a friend. Got served as soon as I went to the bar. Sat down and within about 4 mins food came to the table. Food was hot and came with nice presentation. Very good and fast service along with pleasant staff made for an enjoyable experience. H
Made my first visit last night since it has changed to the Gavel. Really impressed with the selection of ales at reasonable prices. The visit was unfortunately marred by a friend having her phone stolen from her bag whilst at the bar, so be careful.
Food was good but no atmosphere
Nice place. Very clean and tidy. Menu could be better. Went to bar to order food. To be told can't take card payment for food only cash. But could buy drink with food. Should have a sugn saying this. Was a bit strange!!!!!!. But the food was out in good time. And very nice. And the drink was good. I
Was good. Is now closed. 9.30 tonight.
Tasty food. Good real ale. Friendly, polite and efficient staff. Jukebox, pool table (free to use during the week), live bands on a weekend and a monthly quiz starting Tuesday 6th February 2018 are recent additions as the owner and his right hand man Sean continue to reverse the fortunes of this pub
Under new management since April 2016 and no longer a spoons. Still freindly enough though and has a wide range of beers and a half decent pub menu.. You could do worse in this bit of Blackpool
It has to be given the credit for being a contender on a challenging stretch full to the brim of chain pubs. Great bar staff willing to exchange advise and story. Nice experience in spite of depressing ambience.
Nice big clean pub, previously Weatherspoons. Friendly staff. No breakfast before 10am, which costs it a star sadly. Overall nice.
