We live locally so called in for a drink and meal only. Food was excellent so much so that we went back on the following Sunday for their roast dinner. Staff were friendly and the Sunday roast was top notch
Good choice of real ales at great prices. Very good beer as well. Sat outside in the sun on the new benches. Fantastic seating area overlooking the Irish Sea. Lovely little pub, really nice atmosphere. Nice staff. Couples and families seem to be the norm. No idiots whilst we were there. Food good. Sat all afternoon on the seating at the front. Lovely day. Would recommend.

The only reason it's a 4 and not a 5 is it was just a visit in a brief time scale, so I can't assess the rooms. However, I enjoyed my time in the drinking area of the place and will visit again next time in Blackpool.
Went to the highlands for the first time today, amazing food well priced, service was lovely by the lady who served us, I think she was called Karen. Lovely pub 100% will visit again
Not been in the Highlands for a long time. I had heard that it had recently been revamped. Well I was pleasantly surprised, the Highlands has a warm cosy welcoming atmosphere. Would deffo recommend

Popped in to rehydrate Toby our 9 month old labrador and me, what a very friendly pub both staff and customers. Will definitely be back for another bowl full.
Our first visit since the refurb. We visited Blackpool for three nights and went in the Highlands on all three days, good beer and food, with friendly staff, would recommend to friends.
