"The sea restaurant" caters for halal diets and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, fresh fish and chips the large portion sizes are more than enough for two people, you can eat inside or outside on the seating area. Toilets are on site. This restaurant is located on the corner opposite the Central Pier Arcade
Lovely traditional fish and chips. I had a small Cod and chips and it was freshly cooked to order as we waited. It was excellent đ
Was in here yesterday. đ§ïž
The cheese pie, with chips smothered in gravy that my partner ordered was very good. She loved it!
The fish and chips I got was also very good, the fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was amazing..
Prices are great and the service is spot on too.
Highly recommended đđ»
Absolutely spotless place, the food is excellent, everything is spot on, the fish and chips was superb, the portions are great, the staff are very helpful, there is plenty of seating, this isn't my first visit to the sea, and I wouldn't think twice about coming back, there seems to be a constant stream of customers which is a great endorsement as there are so many places you could choose to eat in Blackpool
Fantastic chippy, clean, amazing food, massive portions. Is expensive but worth it. Was ÂŁ54 for 3 adult fish & chips and a childs.
Food is cooked to order, we had to wait for the fish to cook down! Wonderful atmosphere, you get a pager to let you know when your food is ready, loved it.
The Sea is a recommended place to try with its welcoming employees and hygienic ambiance. The fish and chips I ordered was impressively large, and the fish itself was flawlessly cooked, with a reasonable wait time.
Very tasty fish and chips, opposite the beach, loads of people but very efficient service so there's not much queuing or waiting for food, actually arrived very quickly. Ample seating even though there were lots of people and clean too for how busy it was, a cleaner was busy always cleaning round the clock.
We were 3 adults and 3 children we ordered a large fish and chips and curry sauce to go with each portion cost us around ÂŁ27 it was more than enough. Everyone was stuffed by the end.
I will be honest I saw the amount of reviews/rating this establishment has this is one of many reasons I choose this over other establishments in the area.
I attended The Sea Fish & Chips with my Mrs on Monday 11/07/22 around 17:55.
It was about just under half full so wasnât majorly busy and the staff are friendly on the counters â think I figured out the owner he was super nice also.
The part of the shop where the fish is being made looks small until you go to other side and they have loads of seating (where the ice cream counter is) which I where I chose to sit as it was more private when we visited. You can also eat outside but I didnât want to risk it as the seagulls are lurking around the area.
We ordered:
Small Cod & Chips with Peas
Chicken Pop Corn & Chips with Gravy
1 x Coke Can
1 x Orange Juice Bottle
Heinz Mayo Sauce Tub (Which I forgot at the counter now thinking about it)
Total = ÂŁ22.20
I have read some people say state it is pricey (I can understand this as other patrons may see this a just a chippy/takeaway) but I thought it was just a little more expensive that I was expecting but is worth it for the food and hospitality.
Food took around 10-12 minutes so wasnât that bad but then again, they werenât extremely busy.
They have the piece of plastic equipment which has your table number on it and it vibrates and pings when your food is ready you can see it above the receipt on my image (I thought was genius piece of kit as you donât need to keep going to the counter or asking staff how long for food).
Food-wise no complaints at all from me fish was great, peas good, chips were fine, Mrs she liked the pop corn chicken but wasnât a big fan of the chunky chips (she prefers fries) but she said it wasnât a big issue, if I was being really picky, I would suggest the oil would need changing in the chips fryer (my uncle own takeaway so I could tell they way they were cooked) but they were still okay to eat. They use provide the food in thick paper boxes and cutlery is wooden not big issue for me and itâs good for the environment.
To Muslim patrons everything is Halal apart from the pies â the lady serving me advised of this. As you donât need to fry pies, I was happy to eat from here.
They have disabled, male and female toilets all are separate compared to other places just having one, which is another bonus.
If youâre lucky you can park on the side streets (if you can manage to find a spot!) if not there is parking very close to here on York Street there are 2 sites for parking on either side of the street.
I have only eaten from here once I would 100% recommend this food establishment to my family and friends.
In all our times in Blackpool how have we only discovered here,it was so good we had to go back again before going home. The staff are so lovely, the food was absolutely amazing and the curry sauce is just wow đ.We will definitely be back, unfortunately on here it doesnât have what i had to recommend but the battered sausage with chips and curry sauce and the kids chicken nuggets and chips were so delicious.
Stopped in for a bite to before going to a show.
Perfect. The portion size was spot on the fish was delicious. Crispy batter.
Yum
We had their seafood basket between us which consisted of 3 thick mini cod fillets, 3 squid rings and 3 scamp plus a huge amount of chips all cooked to perfection. Very fresh and hot. They give you a bleeper which goes off when your food is cooked so you know it's not been standing around. Very polite staff. Extremely clean facilities. Would highly recommend all round.
Came for lunch whilst in the area. Clean environment, service was good.
Food was also good, portions are decent.
I like that you get a lemon wedge with the fish.
2 adults and 1 child ate for around ÂŁ25.
A good chippy if youâre in the area.
Recently went to Blackpool and wanted something to eat as soon as we had parked up at lunchtime. This place is opposite the car park we parked at so went in.
Itâs bright and modern looking inside.
We ordered one of the sea baskets, a bit of fish and a kids fish and chips.
The sea basket had a selection of squid rings, scampi, fish bites and chips. It is quite a large portion obviously and the food was quite nice.
The fish we had was a nice size.
The kids fish and chips was a large (for a kid) piece of fish and a full tray of chips underneath. I feel like the kids fish and chips was more like the regular fish and chips for an adult. My son certainly couldnât eat it all.
The curry sauce wasnât as strong as many other places Iâve been to.
I would definitely eat here again as one of the best in the area.
Excellent fish and chips in an organised and exceptionally clean environment. I find some negative reviews rather bewildering!
Lovely & tasty fish & chips, freshly cooked to order. We've tried fish and fishcake, and everything was delicious and served in no time.
Excellent service and exceptional value for money. The portion size of the small cod was very good value for money and plenty of chips. Staff were helpful, and the premises were very clean. All in all, âââââ.
Can't fault it at all, price was spot on, the kids all loved their food, the Mrs and myself got a large cod and chips each, neither of us could finish them, took what was left back with us and fed us for supper, absolutely delicious, will be back when we're next in Blackpool.
