I was staying in Blackpool for a couple of days with family and was looking for somewhere nice for a meal one night due to overdosing in fish and chips etc..this came up on Google search so we gave it a go. Fantastic food, great polite service. Gets really busy therefore book first . Good choice of dishes, all really tasty and fresh. Thought it was well worth the price of £20 per head. Drinks however aren't included therefore you can easily add another £20+ onto the price for a round of drinks for four people.
We stayed for 4 nights in the gurkha Hotel and have had such a lovely time.
we were a family of 3 and the room was amazing for the price and it was spotless.
The Breakfast was great my brother is vegetarian and he said the sausages were the best he has ever tasted and the full Breakfast kept you full till dinner time.
The buffet was so good well worth the money and so many things to choose from I loved the momo's and plenty for vegetarian's to choose from to.
We will be back next year and the staff were amazing

Great stay at The Gurkha! Our room was extremely clean we did the ‘four in the bed’ tv show test - wiping the top of wardrobe & picture frames to check for dust- nothing, spotlessly clean. They have a busy bar downstairs and a great restaurant. For the price it was very good. Breakfast was a extra £7.50 which was fine but they should offer a choice of bread for toast.
Absolutely amazing we arrived without booking. They was happy to give us a table. Without hesitation. We asked for a table , four people, three adults and one child, age 4 , due to my four-year-old not wanting to eat, they didn’t charge us for her meal, also was happy to provide my daughter with an ice cream and didn’t charge for that ,
This was the first time attending this place. We highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you
We came there 1st time, it was reunion. Food was ok, staff little bit confusing, came ask what we drink but then told us to order from bar. Food was mostly spicy , so if u want not spice not much choice, we came about 15 of us. Quiet small inside, Toilets wasn't very clean. It was ok but I wouldn't go again.
One of my friend was eating the staff stood behind n waited, as soon she put fork down she took plate of her.
I really enjoyed the Gurkha. The staff are very professional but friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It has a great bar and restaurant incorporated. Good place to stay. Only 10 mins walk or £5 to the front promenade.
First visit, great food, good value, nice presentation. You may need to park some distance away.
Went here for a buffet meal on 2nd Sept 2023, and I cannot fault this restaurant, Excellent service, Excellent staff and excellent food, Would very HIGHLY recommend for a buffet. Good price as well £20 per head and eat as much as you like. There is also plenty of deserts including a Mr Whippy Ice cream machine. Wife and friend had the lamb curry, she didnt see the warning that come with it till she had eaten it, The warning said CAUTION VERY HOT, my wife and friend Phill broke out in an immediate sweat but fun to look at them sweating hahahaha. Defo comingg back.
Fantastic food plenty off choice . Relaxing atmosphere. Will be back. Ideal place to try new different dishes from chinease Indian and Thai. The only suggestion I would make is to offer cream with some of the deserts.
Only went to the bar and restaurant, didn't stay at the hotel. Friendly staff, great food and a good selection. Recommend to everyone
Went for the buffet with my wife. The food was great with lots of options between Indian, Chinese, Thai, and napolese. The service was also great coming by often to take plates and see if you needed anything
Great little hotel to stay at. Very clean and courteous staff. Close to South Pier, Pleasure beach and transport to central Blackpool.

I booked Online and turned up not long before the final check in time, But I was seen too and honestly when I went too my room I was amazed for what I payed for and for the room that I got just wow!!
I only have 2 problems really
The shower when I was using it cut off and stopped working and didn't turn back on when I went down I didn't see anyone around and wasn't waiting around to find out that was on my last day here so I didnt create a problem about it.
I only gave a 4* for the room, The bed that I stayed on I'm not sure if it was a stain but there was a red/orange one on the top right of my Bottem sheet underneath where the pillow would be and also on the pillow on that was left on the chair, Other than that the room was amazing there was everything in there you needed & the bed lights next to the bed was a perfect for lieing at night.
I think next time I come I might pick the same place and also try the food out, The bar was amazing I had a few drinks before I went out drinking.
Gurkha-Buffet Restaurant, Hotel & Bar is an excellent choice for anyone looking for delicious Nepalese and Indian cuisine. The food is flavorful and well-prepared, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!
Great food and bar, with very competitive pricing, only issue we had is there's no lift and the stair are very steep.
If you have any type of mobility issues, check with the hotel before booking.
The food was amazing got proper Nepalese authentic taste (of course you have variety of choices to go )after a long time

Lovely food plenty to choose from lots of variety could not find anything wrong at all,very friendly and helpful in our group we had 8 adults and 5 children and a baby.
We went to the buffet resturant on Friday night, warm welcome when we arrived, plenty of variety of food, drinks prices very reasonable and the food was lovely and hot, Highly recommended
