A Lovely friendly local village pub with amazing views from the outdoor terrace and beer garden. A recently introduced new chef and food menu make it a destination pub for all ages and food tastes. Excellent value for money and all food is freshly prepared.

We loved our visit Grandad was very happy and our daughter was given a nice treat to keep her happy. Thanks guys. We met pip And poppy again, the dogs, super cute Update, after another visit today, the sun was breaking through the clouds and the beer garden at the front was perfect for the view. It's small but good seating. Our daughter enjoyed a late Easter gift of a chocolate lolly. Thank you

We love visiting The Rising Sun... Its our local pub but for everyone who visits, its a really welcoming place with good beer, amazing food and service. The grassy beer garden is great for people, dogs and children as is the sun terrace.

Was ready for my pint when i arrived after walking 3 miles with the dog. Had 3 casks on although i do think they had the capacity for 5 casks. All 3 were from local brewery Moorhouses. Friendly staff and very welcoming, would have given 5 stars but for 2 empty pumps.

Excellent the staff were very polite and friendly the drinks we got were bang on ( wife had j2o's and I had Guinness) the food was lovely wifes steak cooked to perfection and my gammon was lovely and juicy and thick not the salty thin muck you get from most establishment's. Would I go back to right, would I recommend yes certainty, A olde pub with excellent service, great drinks and great food. A must if your in the area.
