Stopped off on the way travelling down to Cornwall. Service was fantastic and food enjoyable. We phoned up about an hour before we arrived and they were able to fit the 5 of us in. Food portions were a good size. We did not leave hungry.

We held a recent birthday party at the Black Horse. Leanne the manager was very helpful and very well organised. It was a great evening and enjoyed by everyone. Great venue well done to everyone involved.
We held a wake in the summer of 2023 at the Black Horse Inn, to which about 60 people came and the whole day went very well. As a direct result, we also held our 30th wedding anniversary there in early September and we all enjoyed a fantastic time from start to finish. As was the case with the wake,

Visited today for the first time for Sunday lunch. Food was tasty with friendly service. Would benefit from better information/menu online etc. Will be back.
Ideally located for anyone on an afternoon flight out of Exeter airport. Power and WiFi for business needs in a friendly and light atmosphere. The special today was Hunters chicken a light refreshing preflight lunch. Followed by real coffee. Great job The Black Horse!

A big thank you to Carol & Marc, we stayed in our camper van for the evening on our way to woodlands adventure park. They have just taken over and made us all very welcome, good selection of beers,wine & even pink gin in a snazzy glass for my wife.

Really amazing food and very nice atmosphere.
Our visit this time was for the wake of my brother-in-law. He and my sister visited many times as it was their local. The staff are great and the pub is clean and tidy. The toilets are also a credit to the place. There were about 140 of us all told, plus the pub regulars. Plenty of room for us all.
Amazing place! Staff always friendly and nothing is never to much trouble. Service is always very quick and efficient. Food is always well cooked and great value for money.

Adorable English bar. With good food, great personnel (thanks a lot to the young ladies that took care of us), kids had an awesome time! Guinness was cold ❄️! The heart was on fire! Very nice place
