This place was recommended by a mate after I complained that there are no good Indian takeaways around Marchwood (thanks again by the way Jack). Yes it's a bit of a drive, but it's more than worth it.
The website is spot on (thank you Chutneys for not making me download an app), the employees are friendly and professional, and the food is always absolutely spot on.
My standard order is a chicken madras (or ceylon), pilau rice and a naan bread. The sauce is delicious (and a lot spicier than everywhere else, which I'm a huge fan of) and there is lots of meat. The rice is perfect. The portion sizes are generous without being ridiculous.
The only potential room for improvement I can see is that the breads (naan and chipatti) can be a bit stodgy in the middle. But it's very rare to actually eat that much and since I know about it, I sacrifice that bit to not be overly uncomfortablly full!
I’ve been ordering takeaways from Chutneys now for 8 years. Every time is a pleasure. Staff are friendly and the food is the best Indian takeaway food I’ve experienced in over 40 years. They are prompt to deliver and always correct, hot and of amazing quality. The price is very reasonable.
We are very lucky to have this takeaway so close.

I called after ordering online to ask if there was an onion salad available for the poppadoms and some additional mint sauce. They advised they did have mint sauce which they could provide.
When the food arrived (quickly btw) as well as onion salad they also provided me with a lovely fresh side 🥗 salad. Touches like these go a long way. Thanks so much . All the Food was great really tasty and great portions. Lovely fresh ingredients. My new favourite curry takeaway 😋 10/10
Again, I can't comment on the atmosphere as I'm disabled so I only have take aways. But again, the service is great and polite along with the food.... really lovely and again... a really decent price too. Very happy indeed and no intentions of getting my food from anywhere else in the future 😁.

Another good takeaway from chutneys,its nice to be able actually see the food being prepared ,which is very rare thing in takeaway houses.
