Top place for traditional fish & chips. Modern setting. Staff at the tills looked a bit lost but as long as the food is quality at the end it doesn't really matter. The portions are huge!!!
Just had haddock and chips and the fish of the best I've had in a very long time. Absolutely fabulous batter.
Staff were lovely and helpful fish and chips were top quality, could do an improvement with the sausages as I found they were awful, but this is about fish and chips so 5* rating is only fair

I had visitors from down south and they absolutely loved the fish and chips, they have called me twice since and said they craving some more, so they decided to go out and bought some from where they live.......they confirmed Queen Vic Blackburn cant be beaten on taste and on price !

Good portion size of fish and chips freshly cooked and very polite staff. Small car park by the side of the chippy. Very clean looking and a regular flow of customers which is always a good sign. Visited from out of the area, so it’s always good to find a good place to eat.
This place is my new favourite fish and chip shop! The service was amazing, the portions were fantastic and the quality.... easily the best fish and chips I've ever had!! 😋 will be back again!!!!

Update - April 2022
This place has gone downhill. In fact if it was a hill I could slide down on a sled at 100mph. The service was good, always a smile from the friendly girls at the counter and bossman behind the fryer. The haddock was dead though, and I don’t mean because it’d been fished out of the sea but because it was small in size, mushy in places and really dry in others. I cook too therefore I know this was due to a poorly cut fillet which didn’t cook evenly.
Please please sort this out and fit some heating and ventilation and I’ll leave 5 stars and am sure others will too!

Excellent fish and chips. The haddock was large, flaky and well cooked with just the right amount of light batter. The chips were crispy and well cooked - also large portions. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Recommended. Wish I’d taken a photo. Maybe next time
Edit: visited again today and can confidently say this place makes quality fish and chips. The chips were again dry and crispy, but fluffy on the inside. The ‘regular’ size cod is meaty, chunky, and fresh with just the right amount of batter. The batter is light and crispy. A little greasy but then this is deep fried food! Mushy peas were hot and satisfying. A little too smooth - some texture would be nice. Overall a happy customer.
OMG we had fish & chips it was huge portion but so enjoyable. Perfect in every way. The tea was lovely. The place was so clean and fresh and the staff was great. Thank you.
The down side the take away side, the guy ehind the counter serving is lovely but the girls need to up their game to help him more.
A large mild curry ended up having small, the gravy was all over the outside of the tub the same with the small curry tub, not really ideal/
My advice is EAT IN....

Fab place, massive portions of food , great service served in an Immaculate restaurant.
Prices are unbelievable for the amount of food you get.
Great way to go to stay in business.
Keep prices low, less profit but masses of customers , this restaurant is always busy!

We had a couple of hiccups where we got the spicy curry instead of the mild curry. They apologised and got it sorted immediately. Special thanks to Ebrahim who is always above and beyond for his customer service.

Absolutely amazing place! Was just passing through town and SO glad we had lunch here! The fish was amazing, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, not oily at all, dont think I've ever tasted fish this good! The seating area was lovely and clean and nice decor also. The person who served us who I assume was the owner was absolutely lovely too. Thank you for your fantastic service.
Pleasant staff. Food great and even gave my friend another tub of curry when the dozy sod knocked his over and cleaned the table. Great place for a chippy tea
Mum and Dad were 😊 when I presented the 🐟 and 🍟 with spicy curry sauce.
The food was nice.Curry sauce got a spicy kick to it.
Service was good. However, there don't do any sauces only salt and vinegar.
The atmosphere wasn't entirely dead but wasn't exactly lively either. This was around 6 on a Monday.
Amazing fresh fish and chips, coming from Canada I was craving fish and chips and it really hit the spot, the place was clean and the service was great, the manager provided excellent customer service and managed his team very well.
I left a 1 start review before. But the last 3 times I have been in I've had fresh chips and good crispy fish. The takeout is better as the fish does not stick to the paper any longer and the batter stays in place. Good price to compared to others.
I don't mind paying cash as long as the price is cheaper.
Small fish and chips is cheap and still a very good portion.
Make sure you take cash as they dont accept card and the cash machine outside has a charge.
