I was in the area on business and the hotel food was expensive and very poor so I went for a drive and found this place. I was there every night after. Very friendly and welcoming staff excellent food and generous portions. Definitely recommended.

Just been for an impromptu late lunch due to outdoor plans being thwarted by rain! What a lovely alternative to our walk! A warm welcome, fabulous food choices and a relaxed environment with friendly staff. Amazing response to our gluten free problem. Having run out of gf bread they responded by giving us a roast lunch instead at no extra cost. No fuss just a fantastically generous response to what is essentially our problem. Heartily recommend this place....and I'm notoriously hard to please about eating out! We'll be back. Thank you.

Great country pub. Tasty reasonably priced food and drinks. Good car park. Scenic location with outside tables. Function rooms available. Particularly liked the starter mushroom stuffed wiith couscous with lettuce and balsamic dressing, which although not a huge portion was absolutely delicious and I would choose it again.

My husband and I visited the Ribchester Arms on Friday 8th September and as it was a warm day we opted to sit outside. The lady came and cleaned out table had a chat to us and got our drinks. I'm not the biggest of eaters and get over faced but the burger and chips were too perfection my husband had a ham sandwich and chips both were really tasty and good value for money overall the service was excellent and we will definitely be coming back.

Excellent location for a drink or food. Welcoming staff and definitely on a mission to provide good service. Premises very attractive and may soon try the rooms for a future visit to this charming area of Lancashire. Well done Robinsons.

It takes us nearly an hour to get here from Bolton but it is well worth the effort. Why ? because they do the best Sunday lunch in Lancashire . With its old'y world charm and excellent service as well as well kept real ales it's simply the best and we are particularly. But if you are thinking of staying overnight the rooms are due for an update.

An absolute gem of a place, from the welcome when arriving, lovely lovely staff, to the food, Boutique hotel feel in the rooms to the local friendly feeling pub. A bonus staying on a Thursday night is the pub quiz! Gorgeous village to wander around too with the river on the doorstep.

Fantastic vegan menu, so nice to have multiple options. Would highly recommend the bao buns (big portion size!), as well as the 'Vish' and chips (which could've had a more fishy taste, but was delicious nonetheless). Friendly service and nice atmosphere inside. Will visit again!

Omg what's not to say!!!! Ancient Roman site where the Romans had their R&R. Fwd to today and The Ribchester Arms gives everything the modern day traveller could hope for on food, welcome, quality, exceptional value and breathtaking landscape outside their beautiful premises. Think London boutique restaurant/hotel with food that is on par with the best London restaurants and this little gem is Lancashire's best secret and hidden gem. Think the Warm North Welcome and Hospitality.,.it's all here and effortlessly given. I came for Sunday lunch and had the locally sourced Sunday lamb and my partner Roast Beef. Both slow cooked overnight and thick melt in the mouth to your plate. The accompanying graveys were dreamy and it was ride not to ask for extra. The Mash melts in the mouth and adds the the explosion of tastes and textures that makes Sunday lunch here always a pleasure. The Yorkshire puddings are not what we southerns are used to....huge so be warned. They too are gorgeous and you may have to leave some to make room for deserts. With beautiful desserts, craft beers, selection of teas, coffee to cater for all tastes it really puts the diner forst. All this in a tranquil, calm, ambient sophisticated décor that honestly looks not out of place in a photoshoot. Visiting here is more than just an eating experience. It's got everything and it's understandable why it's always full, busy and popular. The staff and management are so welcoming. Ramblers, motorcyclists, cyclists, tourists, locals all enjoy this hidden gem. If you ever find yourself in this part of the country....this really is somewhere to go, relax and unwind with friends over superb food and a refreshing drink.

Well honestly what can I say..... absolutely top notch all round. Me and my partner have been here a few times now for food and drink after finding this place on the off chance so yesterday we decided to stay over. Deluxe bedroom with a balcony overlooking and hearing the water and the sheepies. Room was gorgeous, en suite with mini fridge, TV had netflix too, bed was super comfy also. Food as always was amazing, cannot fault it. Seemed a nice little luxury for a night, such a good night didn't really take photos. Staff were amazing and even though it was super busy they made everyone of their customers had all they needed and wanted, nothing was any trouble, super friendly. Will definitely be back
