This was on our to do list for years & it was well worth the wait. Great service, atmosphere & the food was complements to the chef👨🍳!😋💦👌❤
Ps, will definitely coming again.👍😁🍽🍽🍺🍹🥂
Loved this pub, inside very country/rural with a large lovely beer garden, the food was insanely good, drinks very reasonably priced
We had a family gathering at the Eagle and Child in Bispham last month. The Manager couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. We used the room upstairs which was perfect for our needs. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and efficient. I would be very happy to recommend the Eagle and Child to anyone. Many thanks.
Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff. Small carpark to the side that is used for both the pub and a farm shop. I highly recommend taking a look at the specials menu, there are some really cracking choices on it.
A gorgeous traditional English pub with local ales and a big beer garden and bowling green.
Stopped in for lunch, staff were helpful and freindly. Drinks were good and the food was amazing. Highly recommend.
Beautiful country pub, very friendly and cosy, lively food and dog friendly.
'Smokies' for lunch with a perfectly poached egg, dog friendly, cosy and comfortable, log burner, friendly welcoming staff & great food choices... loved it 😍
We spontaneously decided to stop here for a drink one evening and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere, attentive staff that served us, and quality of food.
We ordered a selection of things from the menu including;
Smokies 5/5 - Wow, delicious, but could've done with some more bread.
Calamari 4/5 - Good but not the best I've had, room for improvement, but certainly not bad. Tasty, well cooked, light batter, no complaints.
Garlic Ciabatta 4/5 - Good, Great paired with Smokies, could've been a bit more toasted but then again I could have asked for it.
Chips 4.5/5 - Really good, can't give a 5 as they're not triple cooked in Wagyu beef dripping. But as far as big chunky chips go, be hard to find better.
Overall a cracking country pub, good food, friendly locals and staff, dog friendly too. Will go again.
Love this place the food is amazing plus you can take your dog. For anyone that's not been try out the farmshop next door it's fabulous and part of the pub.
Excellent food, beautifully presented, served by wonderful staff.
Absolutely first class food, both quality and quantity +:fast, efficient, friendly service with a smile
Best pint of Guinness I've had in years
I was only passing through Bispham Green, And I haven’t had a drink of water for, I guess, around 11 and a half hours… so I stopped at the Eagle and child and as personal signs I entered through the front entrance spoke to the huge Barman, I politely waited my turn of course, and asked him if I could get some water?
“Just go straight through to the toilet pal” I was informed, So I did, and I got a litre and a half of nice crisp cold water in my up cycled water container, Formaly a cordial bottle, and left via the back entrance. I couldn’t find any signs with regard leaving the premises so, I took a chance and used the back door.
Just as well as I did because I spotted a quaint little outdoor dining area and… They have a Bowling Green. It looks kind of worse for wear, it could do with a Gardner, A whole team of gardeners attentions actually. But then, what do I know? Well on bowling greens and gardening I know nothing useful.
I hadn't been here for years but decided to try it again for a celebratory night. Very pleased with the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food with a good choice of drinks. Will go again for sure
Great pub, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, good food and select of drinks.
First time visit, won't be the last. Service excellent. Food excellent. Pics speak for themselves.
Visited as a group for mother's day. Food and service were good given how busy it was. Portions as whole very generous but my main could have had more to it. Not cheap but quality just about justifies the price.
