Had not been here in more than 30 years. But very impressed with the food and environment. Food quality Very good. Service the same. Price slightly higher than similar pubs in the area. But definitely worth a visit

Had Sunday lunch at the Talbot today which was simply delicious. Perfect ‘pink’ sirloin beef; most chefs never seem to be able to get that right! Ate outside in the sun in the lovely beer garden. Staff were excellent, attentive, friendly and smart. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

We haven’t been to the Talbot for many years. We were pleasantly surprised at the changes both inside and outside, we were slightly early for Sunday lunch so had a drink outside in the hut area very good. We had a starter and lamb for main course which were both excellent could fault the quality and quantity of vegetables. Definitely wil go back for an lunch or evening meal in the near future. A very pleasant venue for lunch. Good menu, good attentive service and good quality at a reasonable price. Three for lunch and we all commented that we will return.

Lovely Sunday lunch, food was delicious 😋 generous portions, service was a little slow towards the end as we were at the end of the lunch service but this would not put us off going again

We visited this place last night with a friend and his wife, the surroundings are clean, with a pleasant atmosphere. Although a little busy early doors, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and will definitely be visiting again 😀 thanks for a great evening.

First time at The Talbot today for Sunday lunch it was fabulous, couldn't fault any of our meals. Quality of the food was top notch. Staff were courteous and welcoming. Decor is lovely, back ground music at the right volume, the tables were not all on top of each other so didn't feel.cramped. We will return 😊😊

Great place. Friendly staff. Had private room. Only negative would be the delay in ordering drinks and then recieving them. Would also say not a cheap option for Sunday lunch. Starters - Tomato soup was £6 for a small bowl. £8 prawn cocktail - mains - sirloin beef £ 17 and Lamb £16. Food was okay but the size of our group (20) meals and veg arrived sporadic so everyone started at different times. But the food was good. Not value for money in my opinion but the place was buzzing!!

Great quality food, cooked to a very high standard at a reasonable price! Highly recommend this as one of the best pubs in the area for food and drink. The staff are also very pleasant, polite and well dressed. A+

On my recent visit I had the steak pie which came with veg and chips. The pie was excellent absolutely full of meat. The veg and chips were also great. However my wife had the Belly pork which was also great but it came with one slice of carrot a thimble full of cabbage and a tiny amount of potato. Clearly it should have had more vegetables with it at least as much as I had. At £20 for the Belly pork it's not cheap.

First visit and suitably impressed. Nice, cosy little village pub. Food was fresh, hot and well presented. Chicken Kiev was as good as any Italian restaurant, steak pie was packed with lovely chunks of meat and the fish platter was superb. Will certainly return.
