Lovely little tea room surrounded by beautiful countryside walks. Delicious food, lovely staff and a great place for lunch. I had the Croque Madame, which came with a yummy salad too.
Lovely atmosphere and food. Very friendly and polite staff, I went there with my brother, we go out one day a week, and are always looking for somewhere different to go. So far this was the best place we have gone to. Would definitely go back there and would highly recommend.
Our first encounter with a British café resp. breakfast. The granola was very sweet compared to a German one, but very tasty. The full English breakfast was delicious. The interior is beautifully decorated and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable so we can really recom
Good service and the scrambled eggs on toast were perfectly cooked. English Breakfast Tea was a bit disappointing, one tea bag didn't make it strong enough. No cafe would dream of serving instant coffee, so why is weak tea-bag tea accepted? I knocked one star off for that, but others very highly rec
Delicious nutritious food served in a fun and relaxed atmosphere popular with morning dog walkers and ramblers. It's a great destination after a winter walk along Happy Valley as my dad used to call it from Bridge past the Pig Hotel and then onto Bishopsbourne and its associated authors like the Pol
Great breakfast!Amazing cakes!
Well priced, charming staff, clean, good atmosphere, lots of parking.A nice place to visit just outside Canterbury!
Very lovely, with a choice of tea suppliers for those that care about such things.
Beware that hot food etc only available 'till 3pm but cakes etc available' till closing time.
The mint rocky road is a fine innovation.
Just returned from a wonderful lunch. I had a delicious croque-monsieur type sandwich which was the special. It had mushrooms and a rather tasty béchamel sauce. The chef even put a fried egg on top, which was a special order!
The waiting staff are wonderful. A five star review from me!
Heavenly cakes. Happy & friendly staff. Tadpole makes a great meeting place for walks and is dog-friendly.
My favourite place for coffee and cake! In fact, I love their breakfast, lunch...everything really. Their gluten free cakes are, beyond insane! Amazing staff too (especially Ruth) Great value for money and a really lovely atmosphere and dog friendly!
I enjoyed my visit today despite the limited menu. I can't make up my mind if you do table service or counter service because I sat down but three people were served before me because they cake to the counter. What I had was lovely and I would recommend perhaps you should number your tables and serv
Lovely stop off for walkers and cyclists. Its obviously not open as it normally would be, due to Covid, but still serving hot and cold drinks, sausage rolls, Scotch eggs etc. There's also a small selection of chocolate bars and biscuits. Nice space to sit and eat outside.
The hot food (buttery sausage sandwich on good bread) was nice but coffee and brownie not good. Oat milk over frothed and bubbly for cappuccino, it’s possible to get a smooth froth if you get a good brand so not sure what they’re using. The brownie wasn’t very nice and didn’t seem like it was made w
Very charming place for delicious scones and tea! I cannot wait to be back when it is warmer as they have a nice outdoor area
Quite simply, the best ploughman's lunch in the region. The staff are also a notch above
