My wife and I booked a table late in the day and they we're very accommodating. Once at the restaurant our waiter Ash took us through the safety measures in place due to the current circumstances then saw us to our table. I can't find fault in this restaurant! The food was superb and the wines excellent, the service was great, we had the best time. A new restaurant in Stortford that everyone must go to. Highly recommended. Thank you Atkins, we will be back!
Where to even start - everything about our evening at Atkins was incredible from start to finish. We were sat in a private dining room, which made the evening incredibly special as it was the first time as a group of friends we’d been together in 18 months.
The food was some of the best I’ve eaten - incredibly fresh, so full of flavour and obviously of very high quality. There wasn’t a single empty plate from any of us. We were impressed by the vegetarian/vegan offerings as well. The cocktails were delicious and the team made excellent wine recommendations.
The team are lovely, very friendly and clearly went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful evening.
I cannot recommend Atkins enough - why would you not want to experience seriously high quality food cooked to perfection in a wonderful setting with friendly staff? I’m already planning the next visit!
This was a nice surprise. A lovely venue (was the Lemon Tree previously) made for a very pleasant lunch. Great service and a varied menu of well prepared local produce. Everything worked well together to make for a complete, enjoyable experience. I'll certainly be back.
We recently visited Atkins for somewhere new to try. I have to say the food was amazing. The service was pretty good for a Saturday night. There was only one waitress on but it made sense as there wasn’t many tables in. Food arrived on time.
The only reason I didn’t give an extra star was because I think it’s being done up at the moment so there was electric heaters and the lighting was a bit odd. There was also some Christmas stuff near the front door where the bar is, so it was a little odd.
Also we found the atmosphere a bit strange as it was small room with a few tables in but there was hardly any noise it was almost as if no one wanted to draw attention but there was music on in the background.
We had the duck pate to start followed with mussels and salmon. Was a really delicious meal.
We had a table of 4 girls altogether in the function room, and from the moment we were welcomed inside the restaurant to the moment we were waved out the door wishing us a fun evening, we were fully looked after. We loved the sustainably sourced food, how fun and attentive the staff were and the fooood was unreal! You could taste the garden it came from!
Beautiful function room too that had its own Alexa, we loved we could play our music without disturbing anyone else downstairs so we felt fully private.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant, the staff couldn't do enough for us, and went out of their way to make our night super special. The food was incredible also, and really inventive. I value sustainability greatly, and it's awesome to know that this restaurant uses sustainably sourced produce. I can't wait to eat here again!
Went for brunch and had the best pancakes with bacon and maple syrup this side of the Atlantic. Incredibly good food and wonderful fresh produce with some of the nicest fruit I’ve eaten in some time. Highly recommended and we will definitely be going back.
Daisy and James were really accommodating and helpful when we recently had our son’s wedding reception there. They opened up especially on a Tuesday lunchtime and produced a great menu (including a vegan option too) - the food and service were fantastic and we all thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. Thanks for helping to make our day memorable.
My husband and I and two friends had a wonderful evening here on Saturday evening. The food was utterly delicious and the staff were attentive and very friendly. All staff wore ppe and tables were well spread out. Not once did any of us feel uncomfortable, it was a truly enjoyable and relaxed evening and we will definitely be returning soon.
Great addition to Bishops Stortford, excellent food and service. I particularly enjoyed the prawn and crab starter, my pork belly main course, and the homemade ice cream to finish. I'll be going again, great place for a special occasion, and I'm looking forward to trying their lunch set menu.
The food, staff and service were fab. It's the hottest served meal we've ever had eating out. Steak and triple cooked chips were superb. Thank you to Daisy and James!
Wonderful Anniversary Lunch at Atkins Restaurant in Bishop's Stortford. Quality of food is amazing in a delightful setting and management and staff are lovely!. Give it a try you won't be dissappointed.
they try very hard to please, just one star missing, perhaps the waiter is a bit too keen to please.. fine lines. that said the food we had was excellent.
Had a lovely time, the waitress was very friendly and attentive, and the food as always was so good, I had the chicken which had an amazing sauce and my friend had the muscles, nothing but compliments.
