Went in for a late lunch during weekdays, it was pretty quiet, it was my first time to this cafe, I noticed there is a children soft play room in a corner, it is a separate room with the door shut and a sign was indicating it’s a soft play area. I really appreciate that the door was shut and it was a separate room, so customers without kids can have peace and quiet whilst having their meals. I had lunch with a friend and I’m not sure why the waitress only gave us one food menu and one drink menu, it’s a bit odd. The menu has limited choice of food, half of the food in the menu is breakfast, & others are sourdough toasties, wraps and salads. I had chicken and bacon wraps, to be honest that wasn’t something I really wanted to eat but I couldn’t choose any other better option that I liked. However the chicken & bacon wraps was very delicious, presentation looked nice too. The wraps were served with vegetables crisps as side, I personally like it very much, but to some people might not prefer vegetables crisps to potatoes crisps or salad. There is no service charge added in the bill and that’s something I take into account for my rating, overall it’s a 4 stars out of 5.

My favourite soft play for my toddler. It is not super large and you are able to supervise your toddler without being inside, lovely coffee, delicious food. When I go to Bishops I wouldn't miss this place.

Lovely dog-friendly cafe, with great service. My only criticism is that the tuna salad had too much rocket and not enough gem! Otherwise, a lovely place to stop for a bite and a coffee.

The staff are so friendly, kind, helpful, welcoming and willing to go above and beyond. The food is delicious, the hot drinks are great and the atmosphere is wonderful. I also really like the new additional menus. I love this café, the decor is nice and the music in the background is very relaxing. I highly recommend it! Thank you so much everybody!!! 😃

We have been to the Chateau Cafe in Hoddesdon several times for afternoon tea and cakes. The one in Bishop's Stortford is much bigger with a larger menu. We had light lunches which were very nice. We had baked potato with a sweet corn filling and I had a 'Greek' sourdough sandwich with salad (lovely). A couple on the next table had the breakfast with Avacado on Sourdough toast, poached eggs, etc. It looked very attractive and they polished it off pretty quickly! This is a nice cafe serving healthy food and good coffee.

Loved the food. The atmosphere was a bit noisy due to the high ceilings.

Excellent ! A very pleasant young girl took time to check for my allergies on ingredients and made sure I was safe by cleaning the tongs and a choice of gluten and dairy free cakes. Very tasty coffee too. So nice to find a place with both gluten and dairy free cakes.

This place looked really inviting so we went in to check out the cakes on display, and they looked fabulous. We sat down and studied the menu, preferring a healthy brunch to the fab looking cakes. My scrambled egg on toast was delicious, but when we ordered the coffee and tea, I think something went wrong and was forgotten. That combined with the noise in this place, which was deafening at times with toddlers screaming, let the place down a little.

Has a great little softplay for children under 5 (need to book to guarantee) in a separate closed off area with own service counter and toilet facilities. Really good quality food for the grown ups! A firm favourite for our family with 2 under 5.

The soft play area is excellent. The coffee is also delicious, the food looked amazing. A true little hidden gem in Bishops Stortford. Would not hesitate to recommend to any grandparents looking for somewhere to take the younger grandkids.

Was great service & lovely food 😋 Only thing that spoilt it was a screaming baby 👶
