We prefer to travel to this fish and chips shop,even though we have one on our doorstep, staff always friendly and chatty.
Staying the night locally after a flight here. Read the reviews but was starving.
The boys were really kind and helpful and gave me free sauces. The fish was lovely and flaky with no bones and nice batter. The chips were outstanding- real potatoes and cooked to perfection.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again from here and can’t understand why there are so many negative reviews 🥲 Thanks again guys 😊

A basic fish and chip experience. Food generally good except chips tend to be a bit on the soggy side and there are always far too many.
Can't praise this place and it's staff high enough. Have never had a bad meal here. Food is always so tasty and fresh. Staff are friendly and happy to help. Slowly working our way through the menu.
I ordered through a third party company that actually hadn't sent my order through but had taken my money from my account, I contacted red chilli (takeley) to ask where my food was after 80 mins of no delivery, they hadn't received my order from the third party company, but they were very polite,once the order had been given from the third party, red chilli went above and beyond to make sure that even though by this pint our food was over 2 hours late, that it was perfect, they even gave extra food even though it was not there fault, I honestly highly recommend their service, and the food wasn't a disappointment either. Thank you red chilli for this evening.
Just landed at Stansted and wanted dinner before driving home. Found this place just a few minutes drive from the airport. Was tempted by the Indian dishes, but went for a chicken kebab, which was delicious and filling. My daughter really enjoyed her sausage and chips. Service was very friendly and polite. I will definitely consider coming here again if I need to eat after flying into Stansted.
Only eaten fish and chips here not tried Indian yet, Started using here as my clients said it was good, food always tasty, portions are good and the main thing is my little boy says there burgers are better than macdonalds ones and he's a big fan lol Thank you will be in tomorrow 😊
Half the shop is Indian takeaway and the other half is a fish and chip shop. Lovely food, and the Indian menu even has some chef specials you won't find elsewhere
Lovely fish and chip shop , nice lads who work there but a bit slow at serving , curry sauce is the bomb !
