It's just good to have some places that are consistent throughout the important moments of your life, much like the 'Central Perk' in FRIENDS. Tass and Jacqui are kind and hardworking folks who are worth every good things coign their ways (albeit in the light of brexit and the gloomy shadow it casts o the restaurant business), and I sure sincerely hope so. They are a delight to talk to when the place is not too packed and they are not buzzing around their business. Tass is able to crack a joke with anyone under any circumstances, he really adds to the lively vibe to the place when he laughs. Jacqui is a good communicator, as well, who is a brilliant listener when you need to vent about something (although may not be generally advised to do so as people's got their own lives) and makes you feel you're REALLY listened to. The breakfast. Ooooooo where do I start? Top notch ingredients, brilliant taste, and the whole service around it. Made with passion by Tass (breakfasts are always made by Tass) and sometimes he'll talk about how he has made it the same way for 20 years (or was it 30? Longer than I've been alive, anyway), he still talks about it with sparkle in his eyes. God knows I'll do anything for authenticity like that. Well, the breakfast itself? I loved it and continue to love it every Saturday mornings (it's now part of my weekly routine (that I actually look forward to)). I shall not build up the expectation by saying how good it actually is, guess you'll have to try it out yourself :-) I'm so happy that I've found this place. During interactions with the staff I learnt that the people who provide services experience emotion and life just like you and I, they are to be treated the way you wishes in Your everyday life. Let's face it, the lesson of respecting others (and more importantly, respecting yourself) is a rare one to find on offer in our society nowadays, the chain-linked cafes (shall we not name drop any?) really see us customers as moneytrees rather than people with our individualities. I wish that authentic and brilliant and independent businesses like this can spread more and more in our community. Best wishes, Joey, just a fanatic for their full English ;-)

Thank you to Tass and his team for a superb Sunday lunch yesterday. The welcome and service were second to none. The food was perfect- clean plates all round and great value. We will definitely be returning when we are next in Bishops Stortford and hopefully to sample the Greek night on a Saturday.

Love this place! I'm never disappointed. Always welcomed by the owners and the staff with the friendliest of smiles, the coffee is good, the food is freshly prepared and really nice. Went to two of the Greek Taverna dinners, thoroughly enjoyed them and will back for more. Such a warm, homely Cafe. Really lovely, everytime :)

We had a great British breakfast with tea at the Café Riverside. Cozy atmosphere and really friendly stuff. Prices are very reasonable. I can recommend this place to everyone!
