Went here for a meal last night, got served quickly by friendly staff. Food was amazing! Definitely the best tasting Indian food in the area. Quite pricey but worth it... Only wish the portions were bigger :)

I am not keen on Indian food but the food here is amazing and has definitely changed my views! Would definitely eat here again. And the gin punch cocktail is amazing

We booked for 8pm and were taken to our table at 8.30. No problems with food or service. Fantastic as always. Restaurant was very busy.

Third time visiting Zara. The food is excellent, especially the tandoori prawns. Beautifullly presented and not at all stodgy. The gin cocktails are fabulous too. You need to book though, the restaurant gets busy.

The food arrived quick and the service was fantastic. Authentic, warming and fresh dishes and lots of choice in the menu. Also a great mix of desserts rather than just ice cream to choose from! Beautiful interior too!

Ordered take away with so many dietary requirements. Team really wanted to listen and made sure they got it completely right. Food all came labelled, and there were complimentary poppadoms included. Biryani and makhani were nice, jalfrezi was ok. It's not the best Indian food I've had, but definitely wasn't bad. Thats why I've given 4 out of 5 stars. I think I would return, maybe eat in one day

It was a great experience and very nice to walk in and be seated especially on a Friday. The food was great and the wine was nice! I would just say that it’s more pricey than a lot of places I’ve been to but that’s really the only reason I’ve given 4 stars. The staff are attentive and the food is amazing!

What an amazing place, the food is out of this world! Came all the way from Suffolk to meet some family members here and was a little sceptical after a poor meal at ANOTHER Indian restaurant a few months back. However our meal here was absolutely delicious, I may even go as far as to say the nicest I think I have ever had. The Gurkas Revenge was a true delight and not something I have ever seen on a menu, spicey and tasty. All food arrived hot, lovely presentation and the restaurant was impeccably clean. Service was good with a steady flow or drinks, menu is smaller than many indian restaurants but they are accommodating. Give this place a try you wont be disappointed and your pocket wont be too much lighter as its all reasonably priced

Great place and food is amazing. Lots of drinks choices and a modern vibe different from your normal Indian establishments. Can hold large parties and always very welcoming.

An excellent place for some flvuros curry, all ways. The food is super friendly, and they attend to you well when eating there. The inside has a lovely decoration. an excellent place to go with friends or family.

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. The decor downstairs is cozy and chic, whilst upstairs feels more like a restaurant. The gin garden is small but perfect, you do t really notice your on a main road. Food was of a good quality, and tasty. Highlight for me though was the huge variety of gin, around 150. All drinks were beautifully presented.

Great food within a really lovely venue. The staff were attentive and the food came out quickly and tasted great. Would highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a decent curry house.

Lovely little stumble upon. Has its own parking, which was handy. Gorgeous interior with a warm, homely feeling. Staff were very friendly and had a bit of a giggle with us. A little bit pushy with the Gin but they are a Gin bar as well, so it figures. The food was delicious, with sensible portions. Perhaps a little hefty in price for what you get but it depends if you want to walk out feeling satisfied (which we did) or walk out feeling like you've eaten enough for 3, destined to regret it until your next pig out (which is what we usually do). The gin choices are extensive. I chose one that may have been a little too strong. They didn't ask if I wanted a single or a double, so I have no idea what I got. Based on the price, I'm going to say a double. They're happy to box and bag up anything you don't eat, which was a bonus. I had cold rice for breakfast the next day. I'm giving it 4 stars because, even though I thought it was a beautiful little place with great food, I have been in better/cheaper. Still worth a meal out if you're looking to go there!

Had a lovely dinner here with family and friends. We were going to stick to our usual place but we thought we try something new, and glad we did! The food was so flavoursome and the atmosphere was amazing. There was a lot of character and the customer service was excellent. Well done to the Zara Team, you’ve got yourselves some regular customers!

Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere. Two of us shared one rice which was more than plenty, and the waiter asked if we were sharing our mains dishes, which we were -then added a bit more lamb to one of the dishes. We were stuffed when we were done. Sad that my boyfriend hates when I ask for a doggy bag. I spared him the embarrassment this time. Gin bar has a VERY big selection and so yummy. Staff was very friendly, absolutely charming and attentive. I think we were leaving just as ppl were arriving because it took quite a while to get our check, and the staff were focused on bringing ppl dinner. I guess we were too good looking to let go. 10/10 we'll be back... with my doggy bag!!. (Have to laugh at one star review guy, who mistook this place for another - but still maintains the one star review after wife told him they went to another place)

Really enjoyable! I visited Zara for the first time with a friend the other week. I had been to every Bishops Stortford curry house other than Zara, and I couldn't believe what I was missing out on! Customer service was fantastic, food was delicious, and the menu had some really interesting and different options. Lastly, Zara has a really large Gin bar with some amazing cocktails. This restaurant would make a fantastic venue for a special occasion. I really felt it offered an experience different to all of the other local curry venues.
