A fantastic pub walking distance from Cheltenham (with the beer boots on ).A big thanks to staff who looked after Nicole til I got there after we got separated at the races.Ended up jumping about singing to a live band who were excellent. Also great value-Pint of quality Ale and burger and chips under £10!! It's that good we are thinking of coming down for the 4 days next year and watching first 2 days in the pub. Thanks again

Two factors make this pub special (and I'm not including the heritage, the fact it's got it's own car park, good food, and great staff). 1. The choice of exceptionally well kept real ales - they really care what they are serving; and 2. The welcome for a coachload of football fans (mostly of 'a certain age' and well behaved as mature people are) and the smiles and bon homie that made the Travelling Alex so happy and grateful.

Brilliant pub highly recommend to anyone with or without kids. We had my mums birthday here last weekend. They were brilliant and very welcoming, the food was great and drinks were too. Staff are great and very friendly. Thank you to the team for your amazing service.

Nice old British style pub, good selection of beer, cider and snacks. Busy when I was there, on a random Tuesday night, and fairly small inside, so couldn't get a seat, not really anywhere to stand that wasn't in the way. There's a good amount of outdoor picnic tables overlooking the carpark.

Good food, great breakfast kind welcoming staff. Too much tinned tomato and black pudding under beans/tomato and BP needs to be seperate or it permeates everything but at least it was nce and thick. is why I give 4 not five, other than that, blammo, great.

Well I came to the kings head with my friend for a drink and catch up. 3 pints later we were singing along to the songs and having a great time speaking to the locals. They are a really accommodating pub with great staff. It has also kept a very historic feel with the thatched roof and tutor type beams in the main area would totally recommend. I will be back soon
