Cape To Cairo Bishop Auckland - Bishop Auckland - Photo album

This place is a real hidden gem and the best food we have had in a long time! Highly recommend! They were great with our kids and we absolutely loved their dog. Would every week if we could.
Totally unexpected find in Shildon. Very interesting and different menu cooked by one of the owners who is from Sierra Leone and therefore had her own take on all the dishes on the menu. Both the chef and her husband are extremely friendly and made the visit even more memorable. We were fascinated t
We've been with friends on several occasions now and are always blown away by the fabulously friendly and helpful staff, value for money and most of all the extremely tasty food. It's different to anywhere else, totally unique and so delicious. The atmosphere is great and they are happy to play dive
The best take away we have had In a very long time, we visited on the hottest day of the year a didn’t really expect them to be open, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome, we sat and had a drink while we waited I even had the pleasure of playing with the cutest little pug while we waited
Went to comedy night to watch 3x comedian s bring you own drinks but across the road is a sweet shop that has a wide range of beers & spirits. Food was excellent and manager's and staff so nice
The food here was delicious, the welcome was great. I loved the ambience and the staff were great. I'd been looking forward to going to Cape to Cairo for a long time and it lived up to my hopes.
I had an amazing time here, the food was delicious and loved the interior the restaurant itself, it was a vibe. Definitely gonna return to check out more of the menu.
Really nice food, nowhere else selling food like this locally. Friendly staff. The building is an old pub and has maintained a lot of its character but with the addition of many Africa esque artefacts. Great value on a Wednesday, 2 courses for £10 per person.
My partner and I visited during our holiday and had a wonderful and memorable evening. We were immediately welcomed by the owner, who couldn't do enough to help and recommend dishes to suit our taste from the menu. What a feast! Our player arrived, consisting of incredible lamb tagine, Durban curry
Amazing place, we visited here for dinner and we felt so welcome and looked after the entire evening. The food was just delicious and varied, we were really happy with the wide range of vegan options, all very affordable too. We will definitely come here again.
First time visiting this place and will definitely be going back. The food was amazing and the owners and staff were super friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Can't wait to go back and try some more of the menu.
Stunning food with good Vegetarian/Vegan options. The owners were very welcoming and every dish we had was full of flavour. Will be going back for more soon.
This is the 3rd time we have been for the two courses for £10 offer on a Wednesday. Excellent value! Very tasty, nicely spiced curries and we love the jolof rice. Great family run restaurant, the food is something a little pleasantly different but not too hot. Don’t be put off because you may not ha
Wonderful food and great service, we'll definitely be back!
After several visits we've had time to try many of the options on the menu and not once been disappointed. Would highly recommend the venue, great customer service and interesting decor. My personal favourite has to have been the sharing platter for 4.
I can get why some people might not quite understand this place, but sister, its good. This, in a good way, feels lime eating home cooked food, but food thats not what everyone would eat at home. There's nothing fancy here, but it's good, and it's not boring at all. I had a burger with guayan egg
