Always a warm welcome and a good pint, its probably one of the friendliest pubs we visit. I just wish they did food 🤞🏼

Been twice, for Thursday quiz night, and it's been lovely. Clean, warm welcome, nice real ales, good bar stack selection and the staff have been very friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit, a real country pub. Use them or lose them.

Stopped in for a quick cuppa while at storming the castle event. They were very welcoming and accommodating our dietary needs . Very cozy place I loved the pictures of the dogs on the walls too

The Victoria is a lovely place to visit for a drink. It's a welcoming traditional pub with a good selection of whiskies above the bar.

Great pint. Large selection of gins and whisky. Good chat with bar staff and locals. Sunday lunches are good too, as are the special night's they do. Would definitely recommend.

Visited for the first time and had an excellent Sunday lunch. The VICTORIA Inn was warm and comfortable and the staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. Our lunch was great value for money with a choice of three meats and two portion sizes which really pleased my wife. This place is well worth a visit!

As a country pub, everybody will enjoy this pub. The Vic is a community establishment as well as a must visit tourist destination: close to to the bishop's towns of Bishop Auckland and Barnard Castle, it's also near to High & Low force waterfalls. You can do B&B too. Perfect.

My daughter and I were visiting friends nearby and we booked to stay at The Victoria Inn B & B. George and Carolynne were very friendly and welcoming showing us to our parking space and two rooms. I had Room 4, overlooking the Valley, and on mentioning my love of walking, Carolynne very kindly offered to show me where she walks her dog which turned out to be a bit of a trek but very enjoyable. Everything was in place to ensure a Covid safe stay in view of the circulating Virus. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable bed, lovely shower and the Thermostat was a doddle for me to use. My daughter persuaded me to pop downstairs on the first evening to try a small local ale. Would definitely stay again when visiting my friends!!
