Quality experience. Great selection of drinks looked after by people who obviously care about quality. Great atmosphere and friendly locals. Totally recommend a visit.
Always a warm welcome and a good pint, its probably one of the friendliest pubs we visit. I just wish they did food 🤞🏼
Nice little pub in a lovely village. Stopped here for a drink very welcoming. Lovely outdoor area weather permitting with great view
Been twice, for Thursday quiz night, and it's been lovely. Clean, warm welcome, nice real ales, good bar stack selection and the staff have been very friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit, a real country pub. Use them or lose them.
Only stopped in for a beer, they have a good selection of ales. Bar man George and locals very friendly
Stopped in for a quick cuppa while at storming the castle event. They were very welcoming and accommodating our dietary needs . Very cozy place I loved the pictures of the dogs on the walls too
Didn't stay overnight but bar stocks good range of real ales and gins. Dog friendly with treats on bar open log burning fire
Visit this pub on a regular basis when we visit witton Castle, the landlord George is very nice and polite when visiting there is a great selection of beers, larges and my favourite Gins, worth the 20 minute walk from the castle
The Victoria is a lovely place to visit for a drink. It's a welcoming traditional pub with a good selection of whiskies above the bar.
Great pint. Large selection of gins and whisky. Good chat with bar staff and locals. Sunday lunches are good too, as are the special night's they do. Would definitely recommend.
Visited for the first time and had an excellent Sunday lunch. The VICTORIA Inn was warm and comfortable and the staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. Our lunch was great value for money with a choice of three meats and two portion sizes which really pleased my wife. This place is well worth
As a country pub, everybody will enjoy this pub. The Vic is a community establishment as well as a must visit tourist destination: close to to the bishop's towns of Bishop Auckland and Barnard Castle, it's also near to High & Low force waterfalls. You can do B&B too. Perfect.
My daughter and I were visiting friends nearby and we booked to stay at The Victoria Inn B & B. George and Carolynne were very friendly and welcoming showing us to our parking space and two rooms. I had Room 4, overlooking the Valley, and on mentioning my love of walking, Carolynne very kindly off
Beautiful home cooked sunday lunch, excellent service and presentation. Lovely family run traditional village pub in a stunning setting. We will definitely be returning! Thanks Lori & Dave x
Immaculate rooms and friendly welcome, perfect bed and breakfast. Amazing food and dog friendly treats, vegetarian breakfasts are delicious. Well worth a weekend away for some amazing hospitality.
Great outdoor seating area which was just perfect for a few drinks on a sunny afternoon after a long walk. Friendly and attentive staff!
First time visit for my wife and I. What a lovely place, nice decor, friendly staff and reasonable drink prices. Will definitely go again.
