For all the times I have visited here today was the first afternoon tea and oh my it was lush ! A fabulous selection of sandwiches to start with for both me as veggie and friend who is gluten free . The scones packed full of fruit with a generous helping of jam and clotted cream and delicacies from lemon posset , salted caramel cake macaroons carrot cake .. and that was one setting alone ! Choice of teas , loose leaf or bag served on a vintage setting of fine bone China cups and saucers .. Perfect... Thankyou ladies for looking after us and making it special for my friends birthday
Just like grandma's had a day off today and visited this quaint cafe. I was in vintage heaven. Mismatched china crockery, old record player and TV, s as props, beautiful kath kidston style blinds and tablecloths and the soundtrack from my favourite film of all time, Calamity Jane playing in the background. Girls all in their vintage dresses and wearing huge smiles. The cream tea my husband and I had was delicious, the scones melted in my mouth. And real loose tea was offered too, which I absolutely love. It took me back to enjoying a cuppa with my grandma when I was growing up. I could have sat there all day, I felt right at home. It's well worth a visit. Honestly, if my business fails I'd be straight in there asking for a job . Thanks ladies for a wonderful experience. I can't wait to come back again
Stopped half way around our walk for a cream tea and some cake! Coffee is lovely and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend

My daughter recently attended a children’s birthday tea party here and we loved it. The children each received individual
Afternoon teas served with cupcakes and juice. The room was set out lovely and the children all thoroughly enjoyed both themselves and the food whilst the parents enjoyed pots of tea and sandwiches. The waitress Beth was particularly lovely with the children and polite and professional with the adults.

Lovely and picturesque place where you can enjoy a good time. We came back from our Valentines walk , with my husband, and stopped at Fifteas for the afternoon tea. I particularly enjoyed the cinnamon chocolate and scone with jam and cream. The perfect way to end our valentine’s afternoon. 💝
Excellent customer service 👍👍
Really tasty breakfast! We ordered the hearty breakfast which you could double up if you are really hungry. We also spilt a scone which was delicious. The staff looked the part in their lovely dresses and the service was spot on. The Fifteas decor was really nostalgic, it was a great experience.
Taking a stroll around the grounds of Auckland Castle the on the way out spoted this place. I only had tea with a fruit scone and jam. The wife had a carrot and courgette cake and coffee. Very nice. The cups and saucers were propper one's and the sugar was in cube form and tongs to use. You have to go to appreciate the whole atmosphere .
Wow! What an amazing find, staff could not do more to make you feel at home, had the most beautiful crustless quiche and the dogs were treated to sausages. We will definitely be back. Thank you! X
Stopped here for breakfast and so glad we did! Lovely welcoming atmosphere, Becci the manager took the time to chat and our lovely waitress was so friendly. Food was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked and very reasonably priced. Lovely little gift shop also worth a look.
Lovely cafe offering a wide range of food.
Excellent cafe. There was an impressive vegan selection and the kid's meal was really good value. The staff were all really friendly too.
Excellent place! Swift, friendly service. Good varied menu at very reasonable prices. Food top quality, and authentic items, decor and music take you back to the '50s. If you're in the area you must visit!
Lovely cafe with a 1940 theme.staff are very friendly food is excellent, one of the best perks it is dog friendly would recommend a visit if in the area
Being in Bishop Auckland that was generally quiet & everything was under renovation or closed for winter time, than suddenly I found this hidden gem in the middle of the town centre, were really surprising & making my day. I love the decoration, like chick oldies girly stuff, the waitress were dressed up like Marilyn Monroe’s style, which is unique. I had afternoon tea there with some cakes & scone that was amazing taste. The decoration, again, is the highlights of my experience. Love it!!
This tea room has a wonderful atmosphere and great decor. It's a really interesting place to spend sometime because of the period setting.
It helps that the staff are very friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks are really good.
Tasty food, friendly service and good decor. Ration book menus are a nice touch. Includes a dog friendly section inside.
Fab place, great coffee, amazing cakes and delicious meals, I just wish they were open in the evenings too!
Highly recommend you visit if you haven’t already 😁
Wonderful home cooked food. Fantastic venue with 50's atmosphere. Staff in period attire. Unmatching vintage crockery adds to it's charm. Definitely worth a visit. Full English breakfast until 11am. Cheese scones & cream teas are worth every calorie!
