Warmly and friendly restaurant with a lovely atmosphere.
The food was hot and lovely to eat with a great presentation.
You can take your own drinks 🍻
The parking is very restricted but apart from that will be returning again. Thank again 🙏

My girlfriend bought me here twice now and I love the Saturday and Sunday menu. Also tried the crab cakes today which were really good. We had a small problem with something but it was immediately fixed. And was offered a free dessert for our troubles. We instead asked for a crab cake instead and that wasn’t a problem. Tom the waiter was wonderful and had very good service as well as keeping back to let us enjoy our meals. Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. When I drive back up from London i will definitely be visiting again. But maybe il try the original everyday menu.
First impressions, the restaurant decor was beautiful. It had Paris decor and had a romantic feel to it, which was very pretty, wasn’t busy at the time we went which I liked. Customer service was great, the host was very helpful and was always checking in on us if we needed anything. The kofta was nice, just need a bit more spice however I understand that this place focuses on the meat flavour. I had lamb shank and the meat was so tender and there was lot of meat on it! Only downside was if the sauce had more spice to it, other than that the meal was perfect and filling. The dirty chicken burger was very flavourful and the fries tasted great had a lot of seasoning on it and very crispy! I recommend others to try this place!
Came here because we were hungry and it was the closest food place next to us. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was top tier - the service was 10/10, really lovely people who will make you feel welcome - the atmosphere was calm and soothing. If you guys are in the area, or are looking for a good fine dining place, tarragon bistro is the one. Will definitely come back again very soon :)
Lovely place. Had nice Sunday roast.
Waitress “bee” welcome us in and took care of us throughout. Will definitely come back again to try the other items on menu. Deserts are all home made 😋 (once served, disappeared soo quickly, didn’t have chance to take a pic)
Wow wow wow what a lovely place
We came here for the first time to have the Sunday roast, and it was absolutely delicious! They offer a selection of meats, you can get either angus beef, lamb or chicken. We got the beef and lamb and they even offered us extra gravy which was also extremely delicious. Our Sunday roast came with a generous portion of meat, roast potatoes, roast carrots and parsnips, cabbage and a healthy amount of homemade gravy.
We also got some beverages which were lovely, and some tea/coffee and desert.
The staff/owners were also super lovely, and the service was fast and attentive.
I actually can’t wait to come back here! Highly recommend.
Big bonus: fully halal and no alcohol on premise.
Very classy fine dining experience and the quality of the food is commendable. Had the beef bourginuon and steak both of which were delicious. Service was exemplary, nothing was too much trouble and the waiting staff were incredibly polite. Highly recommended

Date of Visit: 16/05/2023. Arrived just after 9pm (after long journey from NW), so I was the only customer. Amazing food. Portuguese Cod (main) was really good. Moroccan Kofta (starter) was also good but lukewarm (not hot enough). Chef/Owner confirmed oven forheating through wasn't hot enough. Food is Halal/Halaal.
I would like to say thank you to the manager and all the staff, we had such a lovely time, and beautiful memories were made all thanks to you for being so hospitable, allowing us to to organise the baby shower at Tarragon, we were not made to feel that we were taking too long it was a very relaxed and and an enjoyable Baby shower ....Thank you😊
Shubnum 😊
This place never let's down when it comes to food quality, taste and variety. The service is above and beyond the atmosphere similar to a eatery in downtown new York with it's subtle background music polite staff and pleasant hubbub of customers, nothings loud, brash and "trendy" it's class and nuance and subtlety fused with flavoursome top quality food. 10/10 would recommend
I had two really delicious meals with my family at this Bistro. My impression being that their cooking has a strong French influence, which is really good. One thing to note is the food is Muslim friendly, so they don't use alcohol in their cooking and don't service alcoholic drinks either. I also tried their dessert, the coconut cheese cake is the best cheese cake I have ever tasted. Will go back again.
It was an absolute delight having visited this lovely restaurant. The service from Tom (I think was his name-so sorry it wasn't) was just incredible. He was an attendant and patient and gave good advice. I visited with a good friend of mine on a Saturday afternoon 2 weeks ago. We had starters of chicken croquettes and chicken wings - we were offered a choice of u as many flavours we liked as we were confused about what flavour to go for... We went for garlic & herb, bbq, and Tamarind &sriracha, which, on the menu it stated 5, but they gave us 6 (2 of each flavour). My friend had the Angus beef burger, and I went for the roast lamb (the option was there on the board as an extra for the day). For drinks, we had a j2o and passion fruit and mint cooler! Which was divine! All the food exceeded our expectations, if not more. Full of flavour, meat was tender, food was nice and hot when bought out. The only downside was we didn't have any space for dessert this time ! But definitely visiting again. Just slight constructive criticism would be to change the menus as some were stained. Maybe something that can be wipeable?
Amazing food had the duck! And Sunday roasts of beef and lamb..
Cooked to perfection. So soft and tender in regards to all the meats we had.
The flavour of the duck was different to anything I've had before. But the crunchy fat with the soft meat in the orange sauce was an brilliant experience.
Service was amazing and really friendly, kind and helpful..
We also had desserts bread and butter pudding and sticky toffee pudding which were also brilliant.
The kids burger was also very nice and plentiful for them.
10/10 experience would recommend definitely.
I am sick of eating Burgers and Bips all the time. The food places in Birmingham are quite bad and generally the PITS.
However, this place offers nice food at reasonable prices. The place is decorated decently and is okay. The food is also well made and they have taken time to plate your food 🥘. The service from the staff is very good and friendly, however it wasn’t that busy when I went there. It has to be tested when the place is fuller. The place could do with some nicer menus and a the bathroom areas could do with and overhaul.
I would recommend to check this place out if you want to eat a real meal. Nice flavours to the food.
If you want fries 🍟 or chips with chilli sauce and drowned in mayonnaise please 🙏 stay away 😉.
Been craving a good Sunday roast that served halal for a while now. Wife, baby boy and I decided to go check out Tarragon.
Was not disappointed at all. The decor was really pleasing and had a posh pub like style to it. Plenty of seating with its different quirky chairs styles. Ambience was lovely and they provided high chair for the baby.
The food took around 40mins, which is what we expected for freshly made roast and it was probably one of the best roasts I've had outside of eating at my in-laws during Xmas. It's clear Tarragon has aimed at the British Muslim (non-Muslim too) demographics in mind to serve home cooked food for those who have both love their British culture and their more traditional back home culture. They've hit the nail on the head in my opinion.
We got the lamb and chicken roast to share and the flavours were spot on, with a very good balance of sweet and savoury. Lamb was perfectly cooked and chicken came off the bone very easy, not dry at all. Although mash potato wasn't given as part of the meal, it can be ordered separate but the meal portion was already a good size and there wasn't much room for more items.
Price was perfect for the quality of food served and the rest of the menu looked interesting too. We'll be going back to try the hand made burger options. The pink lady - sparkling lycee drink was refreshing and really nice for the extra hot day.
Sam, our waiter was really welcoming, friendly and a pleasure to be served by. Many places offer good food with very poor service that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Other times a place can have sub-par food but the great service makes up the disappointment (even if it means not going back). Thanks for the hospitality Sam.
Great little addition to the south Birmingham food scene. We got the lamb cutlets and scallops to start, both were excellent. Lamb was seasoned well and not overdone like most places, very tender.
For mains we ordered a selection of steaks including fillet and rib eye. Both were excellent and cooked medium, exactly how we asked for. The blue cheese and the peppercorn sauce were also just right.
Lamb shank was very tender with plenty of herbs and spices.
Finally we tried the duck for something different, this paired well with the dauphinoise potatoes.
A little on the pricy side when considering steaks do not come with sauce.
Did not order desserts this time but will be back again, definitely recommend you pay this place a visit.
