Firstly I came here not having tried Persian food before and also dining on my own due to working away from home. I felt very welcome the moment I walked through the door, attended to quickly and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere.
I ordered food and a drink which I was unsure about on the menu but the server (I also believe to be the manager) helped to explain all of the dishes I had questions about. After ordering, the food turned up relatively quick, but not too quick where you would worry about how it has been cooked.
The meat tasted amazing, I also ordered a side salad as well as a rice side. All of these items together were really good and full of flavour!
I ordered a Baklava with ice cream (never tried baklava before) and I believe this came with Saffron & Pistachio ice cream. This dish was also very tasty and just the right amount so that I had something sweet but not too much. I was also given a free Persian Tea - Very nice and perfect to finish off a great evening!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Beluga and I have to say that it was an absolute delightful experience from start to finish. The restaurant atmosphere is warm and inviting with beautiful decor that sets a perfect ambience for a meal with loved ones. But of course the real star of the show was the food. every dish we tried was simply outstanding bursting with flavour and the kebabs and chicken was so tender and soft, the server and the owner was very friendly and attentive and was making sure that every need was met. Overall, I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a very nice Persian food experience from beautiful ambiance to the amazing food to the outstanding service. This restaurant has it all. I can’t wait to return. :)
We went there for boxing day supper. It was our first time but left us a lovely experience.
The food was delicious with good size portions.
The resturant was very clean and quiet.
The hospitality of the shop owner lady was superb. We felt home in their restaurant.
We really enjoyed our time.
Thank you Beluga
A nice, laid back setting with good food at reasonable prices. The staff was friendly, and the little dog they had at the restaurant was cute and well-behaved.
The baklava was delicious!
As soon as you step through the doors you feel like you’re visiting restaurant owner Negar in her home. Beautiful interior, relaxing music, attention to details and very very tasty food…
Looking at the menu feels inappropriate…
You just want to ask “What’s for dinner?” :)
More than highly recommended… IT’S A MUST!!!
Shared starter platter with traditional Persian dishes, Grilled Halloumi with Saffron rice, Rose tea and Saffron/Pistachio ice cream for dessert…
And some original artwork…
Hidden gem - perfect.
Decor: 5/5 really nice ambience - good Iranian vibes. Warm and cozy.
Food: 6/5 food was done to perfection.
Starters were warm and quick to be served.
King prawns were crispy and delicious.
The meat was on another level. The lamb koobideh and chops were tender, juicy and filled with flavour.
Did i also mention that prices are very affordable? Good portion for a small price.
We ordered the following (all the dishes were amazing):
Kashke Bademjon
King Prawn (exceptionally good)
Shishlik Makhsos
A fantastic experience. The food was divine. Generous portion sizes. Tasted brilliant. The best Persian food I have ever eaten. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. The restaurant owner was a very jovial man he was very accommodating and providing any advice when needed. My neices (both under 8) struck up a good relationship with him. Being a wheelchair user the actual place had lots of space to navigate the chair. Most restaurants feel very constricted but this one didn't. I would highly recommend this eatery.
When ever I get a chance, I try to eat my favourite dish. Tried Ghorme Sabzi in this restaurant, and I absolutely loved it. I was offered a Persian tea as well.
Gem of a find, best thing about clean air zone, we discovered it walking into town. Open 2 months and cute interior, friendly service, complimentary starters with gorgeous flavoursome traditional soup and stew. Generous portions as rice included. Baklava to die for!!!
Recommend, Ottelenghi at half the price!
Newly opened, small Persian Restaurant in the city centre. Pleasant service. Halal food. Flavouring is quite nice. Mix Koobideh was very nice. Chinjeh (diced lamb skewer) and Shishlik (Lamb chops) were flavoured well but the meat was so tough and chewy.
Great food, so tasty and delicious and authentic Persian cuisine. Excellent customer service, a lovely atmosphere and decoration was nice. A great place to visit for dinner if you are going to the theatre at the Hippodrome, as it's only a short walk from there or the Arcadia for parking.
Went there a while ago...Great atmosphere. There weren't a lot of people probably because of the time we went there at but loved the ambience. The staff was friendly, attentive and gave really good recommendations too. We ordered the mix grill and it was delicious with the perfect Persian touch. Recommend to anyone who likes Mediterranean cuisine. Also there garlic sauce was homemade and so so good, we had a second helping and wanted more.
I have to say it was pricey but I think the place, food (hint: there was a lot of saffron😅)and people made up for it.
My partner and I fancied a meal out after a long week! We walked in and luckily they had a table. My partner is a big fan of middle Eastern food so it was nice to find a new place to try.
The waiter was very accommodating, the food was delicious and the portions are extremely generous. We both had a stew and tried the vine leaves (best I've had!).
We even had complimentary tea which was nice. I hope this place thrives as it seems like a cosy family run place.
What a find! Step inside and you wouldn't know you were next to a busy main road, such a relaxing atmosphere. Lovely decor and very clean and the owner was an amazing host, nothing too much trouble. Extensive menu and the food was excellent, cooked beautifully, excellent presentation, you must try the Persian tea. I would highly recommend Beluga Persian Kitchen & Grill if you want to enjoy a relaxing, very enjoyable meal.
The food was amazing, really authentic and the best Persian restaurant in bham. We got a mixed grill platter for 2 and it was so tasty, tender and flavoursome!
The service was also great- the owner was really down to earth and lovely.
Had a great time, would definitely go again!
My favourite Persian restaurant by far. Authentic, cultured, polite, and a wholesome environment!
Never had persian food so didn’t know what to expect. Lovely staff! Helped us order and told us the most popular foods in Iran that we could try. Food was amazing! And the teas were soo good! 100% coming again
