Absolutely wonderful fresh food! Everything is cook to order but it came out in only around 10-15 minutes. The service was delightful and even went out of their way to give my partner some free mochi ice cream for their birthday which was lovely. We went on a Wednesday afternoon so the atmosphere was calm and peaceful. Definitely recommend giving it a try, 5 stars all around!
Crispy coated Japanese style fried chicken. Bit bland on its own, but better with sauce or gravy. Service and location was good. Bit pricey for what is, ultimately, fried chicken. Halal food.
The food was absolutely excellent, it came out quickly but was cooked to perfection. The sauces and flavored I cannot recommend enough. Super polite and assistive staff and an overall lovely atmosphere. Solid recommended to anyone to loves Japanese food and fried chicken!
Service is friendly and staff are helpful with the menu. Food is great only thing is they use a lot of sauce in burgers and starters

I love everything about this place: the decor, the staff and of course, most importantly, the food. My boyfriend had sushi & a bubble tea and equally loved it. Prices are also good. Food was fresh and tasty. 100% would recommend.

Really nice to find a Japanese restaurant that caters for halaal food. Please keep in mind that they do serve alcohol on the premises.
We ordered the Bento box, Ronin wings with Hottchiri sauce, Shogun double burger, 2 fruit bubble tea's and a Red Tombo non alcoholic cocktail. All of the food was very flavorsome and was plenty for 2 adults and a child. We also finished off by sharing a portion of 3 Mochi balls which were still frozen solid but thawed relatively quickly. We did enjoy the food and rated this higher than other Japanese restaurants found in Birmingham city centre.
The food is a little over priced so unfortunately this will not be a regular for us. I did have higher hopes that the name Karaage would have a wider selection of fried chicken options but it is really restricted to tenders, bites and wings. Had there been wider options this could have justified how much we spent.
We were also restricted as to where we could sit even though at the time we entered we were one of 2 customers and the restaurant had filled up by the time we left. Not sure if the restaurant has a prebooking service, but it seemed not.
Finally, I am a lover of milky bubble tea, why so many restaurants only restrict themselves to fruit bubble teas is a shame.
Lovely ambience and staff are friendly and professional. Food was tasty reasonably priced too. The katsu curry portion was large and the teriyaki fried chicken was packed with flavour. The spicy fries were a good side option too.

Alhamdulillah. The experience was satisfactory. 1st of all full menu was halal as they told except the alcoholic beverage.
Starting from Miso soup, kimchi, katsu curry everything was good. Was expecting better sushi variations though.

The food was delicious and the portions were allot bigger then I thought, we came as a group of 6 and none of us could finish our foods and we are all big guys 😂.

Had dinner there with work colleagues, 8 of us, and had never heard of this Japanese restaurant - simple, efficient, great many options including sushi, but westernised options too.
I had prawns tempura, chicken teriyaki tenders and misoshiro
My colleagues had prawn gyoza, yasai katsu curry, furikake rice, tayokaki, cheesecake and mochi,
The food was great, excellent service
Was surprised that they had Asahi beer
At the end to collect the plates an autonomous robot, see the photo and video — isn’t that fabulous 🤩

Tasty food but slightly overpriced for what it is tho. Staff was nice but not so competent. Felt like they were overwhelmed and yet it wasn’t even crowded.
Best Noodle dish we've ever taste my with had Teriaki and I had Chilli excellent also I tried the rice ice cream balls Ok but once tried never again but thats my own personal thing but on the whole £69 with drinks it was a nice start to our evening before the show in main arena
Arrived and there were plenty of tables, however the first table we were seated at first was so sticky in the process of trying to take the menu back the waitress ripped it a hole in it as the rest remained adhered to the table. However they were very apologetic and moved us to another table, at which point our food came out. One thing i forgot: if you want your miso soup to come out as a starter, you need to tell them about it. Miso soup was great, kimchi bowl was massive, and the yasai katsu curry was so filling it left me unable to move for a while. Not the first time I've been here and not the last.
For one who hadn’t really tried much Japanese food, I was very pleased. The fried chicken was tasty but a little cold, the sushi rolls were amazing, dumplings, were delicious and the chips were nice. Bubble tea was also pretty nice too. The only thing I would mention is the water glasses weren’t washed properly with stains on, after asking for a fresh one, we got another which was still dirty. Apart from that, a sweet experience.
Really wonderful food, great service and a brilliant atmosphere. Nothing too much trouble. Chicken tenders and teriyaki sauce-just yum. Returned here a few times, never disappointed. So friendly and welcoming too
