Delicious food.
Can't rate the atmosphere as I ordered in.
I ordered the M'Hamara cheese, platter meal for 2, tabbouleh and hummus with chicken shwarma.
Everything was delicious.
The rice was flavourful and not bland.
The chicken was perfectly cooked and flavourful.
The tabbouleh was fresh and delightful.
The food came in good time and was well packed.
Would definitely recommend.
beautifully cooked food in an understated family friendly setting. delicious starters and mains with efficient service. recommend the shish taouk with pasta, the chicken thigh burger was succulent and spiced perfectly as was the lamb. all food came out hot and tasted fresh. we didn’t have room for dessert but the tea selection and waffles on the next table looked divine. always a good sign when arabic speaking patrons are complimenting the food. well done guys we will be back!
Been here a few times now! Food is still amazing! Very fresh and full of flavours! Fries were amazing and the salad was fresh too. Service was brilliant in the restaurant, overall very happy with the visit, will definitely visit again soon!
It's small cozy and clean place. The staff are friendly. They serve traditional Syrian food. Huge portions and very good value for money. My girls loved their samosas, kibbeh and dessert.
The food was excellent. Good value and very tasty. We had a sharing platter for 4 with rice and it was plenty. The only downside was the waiter was not initially very welcoming and it took 40 minutes to serve our food even though we were the only people in the restaurant. Despite this I would still recommend going here.
Had totally delicious lightly spiced shawarma chicken on a bed of moist saffron rice, with salads and dressings. Large portions..and was able to bring home what I couldn't eat. I also bought a tray of middle Eastern sweets to eat later with coffee at home. Good choice menu and teas, cold soft drinks and coffees. . Food served hot, by friendly and helpful staff. Nice middle Eastern (Syrian) atmosphere...and music. Recommend.
First time ordering from here. The delivery was quicker then advised by restaurant. The food was good with the kebabs being very tasty and thick. Good salad and tasty bread. The chips were amongst the most tastiest I've had. The lamb wrap was excellent..however..Old Damascus loses a point as they forgot the extra chips and Rubicon we ordered. I rang and bless them, these chips came late and no longer hungry! I'd order again tho
I treated my husband to a lovely meal at Old Damascus in Kingsheath. Delicious fresh hot food served with a smile. Lovely clean venue and staff very helpful. Clean toilets, the only thing is parking is on the side roads. Other than that it was a lovely venue. Will definitely return. 5*
Came here today for the first, had a superb meal. The service was wonderful and the food delicious. We will definely be coming back. Thank you so much, we had a lovely evening.
If you’re looking for quality food , great taste and fabulous service then this the place , food is perfectly seasoned and very well cooked. Overall good restaurant and highly recommended.
This place is an amazing find!! Wanted to have a breakfast and spotted Old Damascus on Kingsheath high street. I am so glad I did as the food is amazing. The interiors cosy and chique. I ordered a number of dishes from the omlette, samosas and chicken shwarma. It was beautiful. Well flavoured and so fresh. I love how the tea is presented feels like I am actually in old damascus. Omar was managing and he was so friendly & welcoming.Fatastic service by all. I have already gone back with my husband as the food is amazing!!
I'll be honest, I could not finish my portion because it was too much of it. I loved the food and will be definitely back! They also have desserts etc. Haven't stayed in though and think the restaurants including the entry staircase could do with a makeover. It is dated and worn out. My food however was lovely and a bit too salty, but I am splitting hair! Will be coming back...
I love this place but was a tad under my usual 5 star experience the last time I visited. This was simply because they brought the starter after the mains which was slightly annoying but the food was great as always.
For starters we had baba ganoush with flat bread and Syrian burgers for mains. All the food is very tasty and highly recommended. This Old Demascus branch is slightly more expensive than their other branch but this is clearly due to location and the over head costs that come with it.
Nice upstairs restaurant - pleasant and laidback service, and tasty food. Fattoush was delicious and the shawarma was enjoyed by my husband. Zaatar and halloumi flatbread also delicious.
Huge portions. Platter for two was massive. Friendly staff, nice quiet seating area. HMC approved too!

I ate the best food of my life here and we really enjoyed it with my friends, the price and treatment are excellent and the atmosphere is completely relaxing and excellent.
I looove their food, delicious food, quite, nice atmosphere, the music was nice , the coffee was amazing with sweets, very good service, definitely will go again, highly recommended
