I had initially thought that this place would not be anything special, thought it was your bog standard food place. However, my opinion was definitely changed when I went in. The design was very chic and had a tropical theme to it. The seating arrangements was also very open and cosy, it had a lot of space. It has an upstairs seating area as-well as downstairs. The toilets were also very clean. The food was delicious and they also had Gol Gappe as a starter on the menu. But they did only have the tamarind flavoured water to go with them, so it had a sweet but sour taste to them if you like that. They also had a kids menu that has meals that comes with a fruit juice. However, for the price that you pay the portions of the biryani were very small and so was the curries. Expected to have more for your money like you can expect at other Asian places. The desserts were okay but nothing exceptional, they were quite standard would suggest to go to a different dessert place. But overall it was a good experience. The staff were super friendly and the service was also good.

Pleasantly surprised by our experience here. We visited expecting the old restaurant to be there but it'd changed so out of laziness we decided to stay here! We hadn't booked a table on the Saturday but we were seated quite promptly. Ambiance is lovely for couple / friends and families. Music isn't too loud so you can actually hear one another whilst conversing, unlike a lot of other Birmingham restaurants! Steak was fantastic as was the stone baked pizza, couldn't fault the food. Staff were friendly and attentive. Good quality food and well priced. Would visit again.

Lovely food and lovely service by Jameel. Definitely would recommend. My father himself is a chef and has a restaurant so he is very picky on where to eat out, and he approved and enjoyed it more than all of us. Would definitely go again ! The interior was beautiful and so welcoming. No issues with staff, they never once hesitated when we asked for something and the manager was really friendly.

First time visited today, with 3 kids and wife. Pleasantly surprised with the results. Ordered the family platter and fries for starters, 2 cheese burgers, achar chicken and butter chicken with naans. The lamb chops were very well cooked, really flavoursome and juicy, had to order another portion because only 2 came with the platter. The burgers were very tasty and enjoyed by the kids. The achar chicken was cooked well, tasty and enjoyable with naan. The butter chicken which came recommended wasn't exactly how I expected it to be, lucky I was full from the other food otherwise I may have been disappointed. The reason I couldn't give 5 stars was because the price was on the steeper side, I know things have gone more expensive and maybe I need to get with the times. Overall, I would come again and I would say don't be put off with the bad reviews, try for yourself and I think, you will not be disappointed. The service was excellent, toilets were clean and good night out.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, we walked in by chance as the place we were heading for was full. We tried a variety of food and desserts and liked all of them especially the lamb chops and biryani. We will certainly go back. The service is exceptional, lots of smiles and nothing is too much trouble. Make sure you visit before the whole of Birmingham finds this hidden gem and claims it for themselves!

This must be a new restaurant as not noticed it before at Star City. Ambience, fixtures and fittings were inviting and warm. Staff were superb and attentive. Who I presume was the Manager was very interested in feedback and was keen for us to enjoy our visit. There were 8.of us, 4 adults and 4 children. Now to the food, the starters of large mixed grill, nachos and diamond prawns were all very good. The mains... linguini alfredo was tasteless and the lasagne was average. Both the lamb and chicken karai"s were stunning. The chikcken biryani was also excellent. Same for the mango lassi and the oreo milkshake which were both excellent. Bill came to just over £110 which is reasonable. Overall, I would recommend a visit as most of the food is excellent and the staff all seem very keen to please...

One of the best restaurants I have been too! Absolutely beautiful to take pictures in and the staff and manager go above and beyond for every customer and ensure that they meet everyone's needs and provide an excellent customer service. The food was absolutely delicious and I loved it soo much that we booked my brothers 21st birthday party there and once again the staff went above and beyond to meet our needs and cater for our guests who had allergies and intolerances. The environment was spotless and the toilets are beautiful too I could not recommend this restaurant enough you will not be disappointed!

Firstly I would like to thank the staff and the owners who are so friendly. The food is amazing especially their diamond prawns and their Bhel Puris. There was this person named Naveed who was one of the owners and he was so nice and friendly. He offered us diamond prawns on the house which were amazing. The presentation, their biryani , lamp chops and literally everything is great. Especially all the owners and the staff are so welcoming and hospitable. Their gol gappa shots presentation is so tempting and its delicious. Whenever you plan to go to Zindabad go on an empty stomach and I strongly recommend Zindabad to everyone. I will definitely visit again and recommend it to all my friends.

We stumbled into this place quite accidentally after a spending some quality time in TenPin Star city and finding no place to eat on a congested weekend. What a pleasant surprise! The ambience was beautiful. We were seated appropriately upstairs in a serene location. Cleanliness was good, waiters/waitresses very polite! But the food was the highlight - we ordered chicken karahi, plain rice , beef bihari boti and mexican nachos to start with. The food was all excellent, but the beef bihari boti was outatanding ! We also ordered a chicken biriyani just out of curiosity and it was pretty good too! They have pakistani cooks and they claim their meat is HMC halal(hoping they are honest abt it) .. the downside was that their portions were quite small, but apparently this is called "fine dining" ... So if you are hungry, make sure you order extra portions .. i did not find the mexican nachos that tasty either... All in all, good place to eat out for good, spicy pakistani food!

Having recently visited costco I decided to drop in and have a meal at star city. I walked past the restaurants and noticed a new placed called Zindabad. This is located next to Pepe's. Firstly, the colour scheme is brilliant, really makes the restaurant pop and I liked the decor as well. One slight negative is that I was seated by the drinks stations, which eparated by a wooden decor/wall. I think management may consider possibly having some sort of sound proofing there or removing seats as I could hear the drinks being made and the buzzing of the machinery affected both the conversation I was having and the general ambiance. In addition, I heard, who may have been a manager, telling an employee off for making double drinks. That's natural in a restaurant setting but not something you'd want customers to hear. Anyhow, on to the food. I ordered 3 starters with 2 sides. I was going to have a bigger meal at home so thought not to overload. I ordered chicken pakoras, malai chicken and paneer shashlik. Chicken pakoras were wonderful. Slight spice and melts in your mouth. Malai chicken was very mild and tasteful. A contrast to the pakoras but definitely worth a try if you like the milder dishes. The paneer I found to be average. Unlike many other restaurants, it wasn't overcooked which is a big plus however, I didn't feel overcome with a desire to repeat order this dish. I'm a fan of paneer when it's done right but found the chicken to be a better option this time. The sides I ordered were 2 portions of masala chips. Absolutely brilliant. Not going to say much more but I found them more flavourful than the nando's equivalent. For drinks I had a strawberry milkshake and a mojito mocktail. Both were very nice, the milkshake maybe a tad too sweet but the mojito mocktail was spot on, both tasty and refreshing. Overall, buzzing atmosphere, tasty food and drinks with some minor adjustment points.

I have been to Zindabad Restaurant in star city few times, The service and staff are great especially Zaid. Love their steak menu but they never have T-Bone Steak for some reason. Would love to try that. Oreo milkshake is amazing.

We ordered the chicken biryani, bihari boti and the mutton karahi. All the food was freshly prepared and was well presented. The gol gappa, although on the house, was delicious. The bihari boti was succulent and was well seasoned and the biryani was flavorful and very well balanced. I would highly recommend this restaurant, not only for its lovely staff and delicious food, but also for its great atmosphere.
