Wonderful place. Staff polite and very helpful in choosing items off the varied menu. Food excellent and plentiful. A first class dining experience. We will be back.

Great first time dining in experience, staff are efficient and friendly. The turn over of tables was at a good pace, meaning less people having to wait was there a queue. Taste wise, very good and decent portion sizes. Cutlery and crockery was stylish and most importantly very clean. Would definitely come back again to eat and there plenty of parking on site.

This place always provides great meals, but I absolutely hate the way that within 30 seconds of finishing our meals the staff always turn up at our table. Give people a couple of minutes at least, it's like we're constantly being watched and I do not like that. Also the music there on a Friday is WAY TOO LOUD for the restaurant side (music bleeds through from the bar/lounge). Turn the music down a bit, wait a few minutes before clearing our table (always feels like we're being watched) and this review would have been 5 stars. The food is always spot on here though and I highly recommend this place for food, but please turn down the music.

Highly recommend. Excellent experience while hosting my kids birthday party at the party hall. Delicious food, everyone loved and enjoyed the evening with great ambience, superb service by the staff and again amazing Indian food.

Good food. Well priced apart from the chilli chicken starter. Generally not over spiced. We ordered 3 different nan breads and they all tasted bland and not very crispy. Huge car park. Cricket on the TV for those that like that. Staff seemed friendly enough. I would go again.

Check us on Insta foodies_of_brum 😁 - 🥩 Summer House, Acocks Green - We were invited to try the food over at @summerhousebarandgrill near Hall Green and Acocks Green. This newly redeveloped family run local pub has changed itself into an authentic Indian bar and grill. They boast a 40 person room for hire; also a wedding venue that is fully decorated and catered in an outdoor dining area seating 120 people. - @summerhousebarandgrill has an extensive menu mainly offering Indian food from curry’s to authentic mixed grills. There is a small selection of pub grub and even Chinese dishes. - We started with the large Mixed Grill which comes with an array of meats, a salad and two dips. The meats were, chicken tikka pieces, grilled lamb chops, lamb kebab, chicken wings and prawns. - The food came out sizzling and enough to feed a family of four 😁 but that didn’t stop us polishing it off. The food was very well cooked and delicious. Great value at just £16.95 as a main for two or a starter for four. - The room was lovely with some very interesting photos on the walls, the staff were friendly and very attentive. The only down side is that you can hear the small pub/bar area for the locals which has sports on the tv and a pool table. Can get a little noisy. - There is so much food on the menu that we may need to return and try some more dishes.

Popped in this afternoon after hearing various reviews. I always like trying grills but thought I'd go a little different today. First the venue itself. I came here last when it was The Shaftmoor and the food was ok. So a new look with the new name. Layout is nice with more tables than previously. Staff today was friendly, but maybe that was down to me being the only customer. The food itself was good and I would come back. I had the Lucknowi Lamb Chops. The flavour was nice and it was a meaty portion, however the downside to this was the bed of onions. They weren't caramelised enough, if at all. Only one quarter of it was and the tawa itself was dry. I also had the Summer House special Chicken Curry. This was really tasty and not overkilled with spice/chilli but had a nice zing and kick to it. I had a garlic naan to accompany this but didn't have much of a garlic taste. My Mrs had the Soya Tikka which she said was ok, however the tikka coating tasted too paste like for her, almost like it hadn't cooked in properly. All in all 4 stars and I'm willing to try this place again. There are other alternatives around

We visited this place when we were travelling back home from Birmingham to Bristol. The pub was very friendly with great people full of great conversation. The facilities were great, with ample parking and a dedicated smoking area. This place really topped off our trip and hope to return soon if we are that way. Please thank the locals for being so nice and welcoming.

I visited summer house numerous time since it open with family and friends. Having been to the shaftmoor pub over the last 30 years, the place looked amazing, with good decore. The place looked very welcoming and friendly. The menu is very comprehensive and varied, from pub grub to Indian and Chinese fussion food. We had mixture of Chinese and Indian starters and mains. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Beer was discounted as we visited on Monday. They have discounted beers on Mondays and Tuesdays. Perfect for nice casual dining.
